I guess that happened a lot with larger families back then. My husband has eleven siblings and his mother was so sick and frail after the last two,set of twins, were born. She must have been like a mother to her own siglings.<br /><br />I also wondered if the cattle barrons up in Washington, Idaho and Montana were that accepting of the sheep herders. <br />I enjoyed this.
