Knock, Knock...

Before I start this adorable joke I just want to say...

You know how sometimes you start a joke and then midway through you realize it is really dumb but then you have to go through with it because everyone is staring at you waiting to be amused and you know in your heart it is going to bomb but you have to go forward anyway? And you think briefly about faking an attack of appendicitis or the sighting of a giant bug or something just to get out of it?

What?

This has never happened to you?

Seriously?

OK....well never mind then.

Because it has certainly never happened to me either.

My jokes are always spot on. Perfectly crafted for entertainment value.

And stuff.

So let me start over here.

Knock, Knock!

"Who's there?" you say.

Irish!

"Irish, who?" you say.

ummm....

ummm.....

OK, now I'm embarrassed.

ummm....

...

Hey! Quick! Look over there at that very strange bug! OK! Bye now. Have a good day!

What?

What is the punch line?

I already told you.

Yes, I did.

Ummm...

OK...

...

Irish you a Happy St. Patricks day!
Ummm...

OK.

Bye now.

Sigh...
