Some weeks are like that...

It's been one of those weeks.

Not quite a terrible, horrible, very bad, no good week...

...but darned close.

So, I wanted to write this long, whining post today so that you would all say..."poor Jenny, poor, poor Jenny" because frankly, a pity party sounded like a pretty festive event to attend.

And I told Mr. Jenny I was going to do this and he said, "Don't."

To which I queried, "Why not?"

To which he said, "Don't."

So...

I went to bed last night without any post in mind, thwarted by Mr. Jenny's obvious need to control blog whining.

Sigh...

So he should not have been surprised at all when I woke him at 4:39 am to ask him this:

"If I can't write about my almost terrible, horrible, very bad, no good week what can I write about?"

And with his voice muffled by his pillow he replied, "Oh sheep! What time is it?"

So I thought and thought I really didn't want to write about sheep! So I poked him again.

And repeated my question.

And this time he replied with a muffled "zzzzz zzzzzz zzzzzzz..."

And I thought and thought but I really didn't want to write about bees either! So...

I have nothing to write about today.

Nothing, I tell you.

But don't be mad at me.

It is Mr. Jenny who deserves the anger.

No whining? Sheep and bees? Geez. How can anybody write with all those restrictions?

And just to salvage this post from total worthlessness...

I heard that remark you made under your breath just now, by the way...did you say "as if?"

...

As I was saying...to salvage this post I am going to end by telling you who the winner of the Alphabe-Thursday giveaway is for the letters: N, O, P, Q!

  2. Sometimes we just need to whine outloud. What do men know -- especially about women. Hope you have a good weekend.

  3. Jenny - if anyone could have written about sheep, it would have been you - and it would have been very entertaining, I have no doubt!

Just the fact that you can entertain me by writing that you have nothing to write about - is proof positive!

    Have a blessed day!

  7. Sheep and bees... he's not very helpful in the wee hours of the morning, is he? At least they were coherent words that actually meant something, as opposed to "mrrrfllggbbrgggr"!

I hate weeks (or strings of a few days) where it seems the universe is out to get you. Hang in there, someone will pop the universe's tires soon, and then all will be back to normal. :)

  14. Hey now you could write about the birds and the bees - and you'd have something to talk about!

Like for example - when do you tell a child about the birds and the bees?

  43. I've had one of those weeks myself. I'll not impose it on you, since yours has been bad, too; except to say my internet server was down from Weds. until this afternoon so I couldn't post my Alphabe-Thursday post (picture weeping and gnashing of teeth, and much foot tapping as I tried to explain my dilemma over and over to tech. people from another planet ... a nice gentleman (from Texas) did finally get my problem fixed today, though.) .... I hope you will let me make up my Q assignment next week, pretty please!

Love the Queen Anne's Lace. I saw some blooming today in a road construction site of all places. I think they must have been brought in with the soil, because they don't normally grow here. I wanted to take a photo, but my dh was driving, and well ... you may know how that is, asking your hubby to stop in the midst of busy traffic so you can take a picture of a "weed" ... not happening this weekend anyway!

OK, now I'm off on one of your tangents ... maybe you are rubbing off on me ... that could be fun, I like you!

    :)

    OK,

Here's to a better week for both of us!

    Many Blessings Dear Lady,
    Catherine :)
    Happy Weekend!

  61. Sorry about the rotten week, Hon. They do seem to come along, now and then, don't they? Blahhhhhhhh...

But betcha' Mr. was right, with keeping you from going into details about the rotten week. Hard as it is to admit when husband is RIGHT, of course! Eeeek!!!

But betcha' by the end of next week, you'll be glad you didn't Hang The Whole Rotten Week's "Laundry" Out on the Blog Land Line, so to speak.

And anyway, husbands have to be allowed to be right, some of the time! Or so I'm told. >,-)

  63. I hear ya! Hope this week is better, Yard sale and all. It's been crummy here too. New roof, lots of folk, lots of noise...they had to redo a whole section because he could NOT convince me that a big A** dip in the middle of the roof was "acceptable". See me rolling my eyes? OK, so no more talking about the freakin roof, but trust me, I hear ya!!!
When it gets too hot in the Summer remember to plan a getaway to NH. I'll be filling up the pool soon with icewater (Oh,it does warm up; in AUGUST!), I mean gallons and gallons of water...and we can be "ladies of leisure for a few days, and whine to each other over Margaritas! hahaha.
