Week 5 - Reality Movie

This post is linked Saturday Centus - A 100 word story based on a prompt. The prompt is in bold below.
*********************************************************************************
WEEK 5 PROMPT

I settled into the comfortable movie theater seat with awkward 3D glasses perched on my nose, a small tub of popcorn on my lap, and a bottle of water lodged into the seat holder,

I started to look around with nervous suspicion and then calmed myself.

Three weeks into the witness protection program I had finally decided to give my overworked imagination a rest.

The trial was over. The bad guys were locked up.

I breathed out a long sigh of relief.

The first scene startled me as a speeding car hurtled toward me.

I settled my overworked nerves and had just started to enjoy the movie when the feeling of cold, hard steel pressed into the side of my neck.

I had a feeling that “We’ve been looking for you,” would be the last words I ever heard.

  2. Awesome! Seemed a lot of people went with the trying to escape from something route this time... isn't that why movie theaters were invented? ;)

I'm likely not going to do this weeks centus; I've got a lot of obligations recently and I just can't seem to work my brain around a creative route right now, so I'm enjoying sitting back and reading everyone elses interpretations! But fear not, next weeks will be doubly awesome.

  8. This is awesome. Great imagination Jenny.
Personally, I find 3D movies dizzying and overpriced. So, this could not happen to me :)

  13. Oh that was cool! Very intense! I couldn't help but think that would have been a great setup for an April Fools joke. Bad taste, yes, but funny nonetheless. Great job, Jenny!
