A ridiculous amount of pictures

I'm tired today. In the past two weeks we have had six Birthday parties. For three people. It's been a bit silly around here. And very hard to stick to WW's with all the ridiculous amounts of Birthday cake.

We started with our oldest Grand turning eight. We had a little Birthday celebration at our house since it was a babysitting day!

A few days later we had a "Dive-in" movie night at our house to further celebrate her Birthday with a few little friends. It was a grave tactical error to fill the pool with balloons! They looked cool but when it got dark and we started the movie it was really hard to identify little heads from balloons!

This was the neatest party. I want to do it again soon with the movie "Jaws". Wanna come?

Next our youngest Grand turned 4. The day after the "Dive-in" movie party, we rented a bouncer-water slide! Oh, this was a fun party, too.

My favorite part of the party came at the end when I caught two daughters enjoying the Birthday spoils.

And the next day we had a 50th Birthday party for my sister at Pioneer Village. You will be relieved to know we did not have our camera along but there was a singing cowboy, chocolate ganache cake and some yummy brunch food.

Mid-week we celebrated the youngest Grands Birthday on a babysitting day.

And finally, finally we went to a surprise 50th Birthday party for my sister last night at the Chase Field ball park.

My job was to make the picture board and to try and keep the secret. I was successful on both counts. Go me! My sisters job was to glare at her fiancee and then to be very shy.
...and everybody elses job was to have a good time!

And all I can say is PLEASE, PLEASE don't invite me to a birthday party at your house.

I cannot possibly attend another one for at least two weeks.

Huh?

Cake?

You have cake?

Well....ok, maybe just one more!

Happy July 3rd!

  2. My birthday is next week so you may have to rescind your threat.
I love, love, love birthdays....that is kids birthdays, not my own, so I loved seeing your pictures. My oldest granddaughter turned 8 in May....growing up way too fast, huh? We have several family birthdays in May, June and July so I know how you feel about the cake overload, but I still love it.

  29. First of all your Grand Children (and the whole family) are simply ADORABLE. Those parties looked wonderful! The balloons at the Dive In movie cracked me up I can totally see how an excellent idea went a little off on that one. Second of all I am so glad we aren't the only ones that end up with multiple celebrations for the same birthdays and since our summer is FULL of birthdays as well...(June 6, 28 and 29 - July 27, Aug 14 - Sept 28) we eat a lot of cake in the summer too!

  36. What a fun bunch of birthdays!! I would love to come to a movie/pool party at your house, but NOT if it's JAWS!!! I'm scared to watch that movie on dry land, let alone IN the water! :)

  37. Most of my grandchildren live on the other side of the country, so I have not been able to enjoy all their parties.

I have shared your parties vicariously and it made me so happy!

My birthday is in March. Will you throw me a party. I'd love to be as excited and happy as your family is in your pictures. They are priceless.
