Loretta at Short and Sweet is having the calling hours for her Mom this evening with burial service tomorrow. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. If you want to leave a comment on her memorial post for her Mom, that would be great. Even if you left one before it would be nice to leave another one today! Just click here to go to it.
Sue and other Alphabe-Thursday friends, I'm sorry I didn't think of doing this type of memorial during your losses. I'm a dork sometimes.
And my silly picture above is linked to Alphabe-Thursday's Rainbow Summer School. To read other GREEN posts, just click here!
You mean that sweet little bride is you???
ReplyDeleteLove all the rainbow lessons here. You are pure joy, did you know that?
You never cease to crack me up. And hey - your bridesmaid stole my prom dress LOL! Get a load of those tuxes! This really made me smile. Can't let my daughter see this though. She loves nothing better than to remind me that I could have been an extra in "Dazed and Confused" or "That Seventies Show"!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo!
ReplyDeleteAnd such a cute youngster you were...
This is my third try at leaving a comment (all the traffic!) so I'll keep it really brief! Lovely pic - and thanks for such a memorable meme!
ReplyDeleteHope this gets processed this time- here goes...
XXLOLA:)
Oh my gosh. You guys look waaaay too young to be doing that...
ReplyDelete=)
The tuxs look a little different than the one my husband got to wear. These sure tell you the era in which they were worn.
ReplyDeleteyou all look so young...were you 12 when you got married? the guys all look like my senior prom date..except he wore a yellow tux...perhaps i should have dug that picture out last week!
ReplyDeleteYou were 11, right? If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't marry till age 30. As it was, I was too immature and irresponsible at age 19. Hate it when you can't do things over the right way. It's one of life's little 'not fairsies'.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lucy only I was going to say you were 12? Goodness we were all so young once upon a time! Love the 'look' back then...
ReplyDeleteI think I was at that wedding ....
ReplyDelete...wait - I think I was a bridesmaid at that wedding - or at three or four just like it!
You look like you were about twelve or thirteen or fourteen --at the most-- and were just dressing up for at school play about a wedding! Very pretty. But too young! But it isn't always age that is important. I was old enough to know better and still chose the wrong guy!
ReplyDeleteI have lots to tell you. So I'll send you an email!
Hugs,
Anna

You were getting married while I was still playin' with dolls?!!! Ok, so maybe that wasn't very nice. ;) I'll go to my corner now.
ReplyDeleteYou are just the cutest.
ReplyDeleteBut, isn't it illegal to get married at 12??
You are as beautiful NOW as you were then:) Love the picture! Enjoy your evening! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteI got married in 1974, you think I looked that young? Styles have certainly changed...can you imagine if we'd had black and white weddings, or cocktail dresses!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know what you were talking about in your message until I just read this. I'll go visit Loretta. Believe me, you helped me so much through mom's illness and death...you will never know. You are anything but a dork. You are a dear friend.
cute,
ReplyDeletesweet memories.
Oh, you must have been a child bride! What a darling photo. Sorry about the Blue part of this marriage. Hope there were some good years to remember. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteomg you were such a young little thing! and just remember, you are not just a dork, you are an amazingly wonderful, considerate, loving dork! repeat that to yourself 5 times a day and yes that is an order!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the picture. It is amazing how dated that photo is. :-)

Oh Jenny - your poems have me in stitches! And you don't look a day older - what's your secret??
ReplyDeleteThis is such a clever picture!
ReplyDeleteYou look so little! Like you are only playing "bride"!
ReplyDeleteI totally forgot to leave a comment yesterday. Dork sounds just about right. Damn, you looked good!
ReplyDeleteYa, but look how far you've come since then...live and learn :)
ReplyDeleteAnd you're NOT a dork!
What a beautiful bride you were! I'm skipping this week since I was out of town, but will jump back in next week!
ReplyDeleteget a load of that! That was so cool, I am sorry about the blue though
ReplyDeleteMy dear Jenny, "a dork" is something you most definitely are not!
ReplyDeleteI had multi colored dresses in my wedding too...ha. I will post them next week just for you. I am sorry about the loss of Loretta's mom and posted to tell her. Hope you have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteI was in a wedding where the bridesmaids wore the print and the maid of honor wore the solid color in the same style dress. That wedding was in 1968 and we all thought we looked so stylish then.
ReplyDeleteOne of my oldest friends posted a photo on facebook of her wedding and I was standing there in a floral print dress with Farah Fawcett hair! Boy those pictures from the past are so fun to see. I love this one of you!
ReplyDeleteYou sure haven't changed much, Matlock!
ReplyDeleteThis was darn cute!
