How to Celebrate a 57th Anniversary

My parents celebrated their 57th year together on Sunday.

Some of us met up at buffet restaurant to celebrate the occasion. In addition to the copious amounts and variety of foods (especially sugar!) necessary for any festivity in our family...

You also need some cheery smiles...

Home-made cards from Great-Granddaughters...

A gorgeous, hand-quilted table runner made by your sister who can quilt like a fiend...

A husband willing to give impromptu speeches at the drop of a hat...

And the perfect gift for any 57th Anniversary Celebration!

Matching his and hers bottles of Heinz 57 Sauce!

I have no idea what I'm going to do next year. I can't think of anything that has a 58 in the title!

  10. I love the Heinz 57. Wish I'd thought of that when my parents had their 57th. Which was several moons ago. Know anything that has 101 on it because my father will be that old in November. *sigh* :)

  24. They look so sweet and happy together! My in-laws love each other dearly but they are so crabby to each other!! My hubby and I gave each other permission to "head slap" the other if we start acting like that!! I hope at 57 years we are still holding hands and smooching like we do now at 19!!

    Love the Heinz 57!!

  30. What an amazing milestone! I absolutely love the Heinz 57 bottles! I bet they did too. There is no way in heck a couple can stay together for 57 years if they don't have a sense of humor :) 58? That might be a tough one, but I have no doubt that you will think of the perfect icon for next year too. Kat
