Jump up and down when after their 3rd visit they say, "Look, we'll just come on Friday morning and take all the old connections and wires out and re-install everything."
Whine, when you realize that you will be without internet AGAIN for much of Friday.
AND...
Paint like a fiend.
Here's three projects I just painted...I love them all...but maybe the tattoo bird end table is my favorite.
This is the cutest little kid's rocking chair. It was just faded ugly brown paint when I bought it. You can't tell but the the blue paint is a metallic. It looks really neat against the dark purple.
This was just a beat up beer crate. On both sides is written "He loves me...He loves me not..." The inside is metallic gold and the flower design is also on the back.
This was an old brown retro looking end table. I've never painted birds before so I was a bit hesitant but I like how funky the whole thing turned out in the end. The pink drawer makes me laugh.
We have two Cox crews coming at 8 this morning so the internet will be going down again. I just want to remind you that I will be by to visit your Alphabe-Thursday links (both the rest of L and M) and your Saturday Centus links! I haven't forgotten you! I promise!
Today, however, I might be painting again.
Jenny, don't you just love your new avocation? I do!! Are you sealing your wonderful pieces with polyurathane (did I spell that right????)??
ReplyDeleteJenny, you have been busy! They all turned out so pretty! I have an old rocking chair almost like that. (It was mine when I was a little girl.) I've painted it a couple times over the years, but it could REALLY use a new paint job! Not thrilled with the idea of all the stripping and sanding it would need though.
ReplyDeleteI love everything you create...with words or with paint!
ReplyDelete=)
Jenny, you are truly amazing! I recently had coffee with Lorrie, from Fabric Paper Thread and your ears must have been burning as we talked about your furniture painting. I love it!
ReplyDeleteWow...the bird end table is gorgeous. And Cox sounds for you as Verizon is for me (makes me wanna duct tape the tech when he *finally* shows up and make him stay until it's working normally). Speaking of paint, I've redone my girls' room and want to go back to wall #1 and just start all over. I love the idea of being an excellent painter, can even see myself doing an exquisite job. Walls look like crap every time I touch them. Perhaps I should embrace that, but...no.
ReplyDeleteSo, so, so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! You are blessed with so much creativity! I love these!
ReplyDeleteWow, so talented.... look at all that can be done without the internet! LOL Great work, hope your internet is fixed up real soon so you keep in touch but keep up on the refurbishing cause it's awesome!
ReplyDeleteHOLY CRAP!
ReplyDeleteA blogger without internet access is like a crack addict in detox. My brother works for my internet provider and he KNOWS I can't be without my internet for long....at all. Hope you are back up ASAP.
It looks like you have put your down time to good use. Will you be selling these treasures?
Good luck with the Cox guys.
ReplyDeleteHope they ahve you up and ruuning again soon.
Your paint projects look great!
You do have a way with a paint brush!
Melinda
Is it just me or do you think Cox guys is funny?
ReplyDeleteI would cry if my internet was down or go running to the neighbors with snot and tears running down my face.
Hugs.
I think I'd rather take a beating than deal with the cable company! Glad you can paint to divert your attention. Everything looks great!
ReplyDeleteThose are just awesome Jenny! Wish I had your drive! ~Ames

ReplyDeleteWow Jenny, those are beautiful... you are so talented... Wonderful !
BTW, the few times my internet was off, I thought I would go bonkers and wasn't as creative as you, I ate junk food and watched stupid TV shows until I got it back !
WoW! You have very gifted hands.
ReplyDeleteLovely job with everything!
I wouldn't miss internet service too much, because it just means I'd have more time to write poetry. :-)
Have a great weekend/week ahead!
IT would take more than NO internet service to get me to create such beautiful pieces!!!!

Awesome Miss Jenny! Love seeing your talents! :)
ReplyDeleteDon't you be taking mama's internet away! But maybe if they did, I'd get some serious writing and art done myself. Hmmmm. Must ponder upon that. I don't know how you do it all.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that rocking chair!!! And I HATE not having internet!! I done it enough times to know what that is like. BLAH! It's awful. Glad you survived it.
ReplyDeleteWOWWWW! I bow to your painterly prowessful awesominity! I hope yoy sell them for a pretty penny. LOVE your use of color and I'm chamed by the whole daisy thing too. I'd commission you in a heartbeat if we lived closer.
ReplyDeleteCharmed not chamed.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. Those are awesome!!!! You are going to make some good money on those.

ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy seeing what you're up to online and off. You are so creative! Hope they have you up and running soon!
ReplyDeleteYou have made a lot better use of your internet down time than I did when mine went down. All I could do was wring my hands and whine. Your paint projects turnerd out great! My fav is the trunk with the daisy chain. All of your projects are sooo creative. And Wow! Even the insides are painted. My drawers are always so full of junk, I'd never see what color the inside was. Hope you get your service back soon. laurie
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that rocking chair! It is superb!
ReplyDeleteHope your interwebbie gets sorted soon!
Look how productive you have been! I am not sure if it is a blessing or a curse to be without connection...I know I miss you round the web...but I love looking at your creations!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stuff! You are so considerate to ring your ISP like that - I'm sure you made their day :)
ReplyDeleteAll beautiful works of art sweet Jenny. Hope they get your internet all fixed. Hugs
ReplyDeleteBusy woman...but where are those 4hundredsomething scrapbook pages? LOL. Your painting skills are awesome...makinging it look as easy as taking a picture! I never did see the finished tattoo drawers...where is that beauty? Did you already carefully pack it up to send to me?
ReplyDeleteYou are so much more "crafty" than I realized. You are an artist with more than words! I love seeing your current projects.
ReplyDeleteJenny, your internet should go down more often if this is what you accomplish without it! You could go into business selling such beautiful pieces of painted furniture! WOW!
ReplyDeleteI don't want you to stop going online of course, so I hope your service is fixed and will stay fixed, but my dear frien, you should do more painting like this!
You are amazing! Three things painted in one day? Wow! And they are all so cute. I am needing a creative outlet. Maybe I will try painting things...
