that photo reminds me of my mom...we used to say that she dragged a little storm cloud around behind her like a favorite balloon.. it was sad that she couldn't let go of it and find more joy in her life.
I say let it go as soon as you can and watch it float away..with joy!! :)
Very timely! My daughter and baby grandaughter left yesterday to live in New York while "daddy" works on a film. They'll not likely ever move back to Canada. I smiled and said how great it was. sigh ~ Maureen
Jenny, I lost my Mom a few weeks ago so I feel like my balloon has sailed away before I was ready to let go. It was such a shock but she went peacefully so I am comforted by that. {{ hugs}}
I'm struggling with that picture, as I think about where I am this year in light of our good fortune. If I'm not Julie under the Always Raining Raincloud, then who am I? and do I deserve it? I'm going to try really hard to be the person who deserves it.
Hi! Thanks for leaving a comment! My handy dandy e-mail assistant always notifies me when you do and I read every single one.
I try to respond to comments with a return e-mail BUT I just noticed that I've been answering a lot of them to blogs that haven't linked their e-mail address to their Google account! I haven't been ignoring your comments, but now I know you aren't getting my reply e-mails! I'm sorry!
I know a lot of other bloggers who respond to comments via e-mail so if you haven't left off your e-mail on purpose, you might want to add it on! If you don't know how you can let me know in your comment and I'll see if I can help you!
Thanks so much for reading my 'Tangents'! Your comments always feel like a hug!
But boy oh boy is it hard!! big hugs to you Jenny! XO Linda

ReplyDeleteAfter being a grump today for one reason or another, I'll definitely keep this with me the rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteHolding on can be a lot more painful in the long run than finally deciding to let go...it frees you in ways you never thought possible !!!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely spot on... how easy it is to hold tightly to those things that hurt us most...
