Terrible Beauty

These SOOC shots are of the Gladiator fire in Crown King, Arizona.   Mr. Jenny and I took them late Thursday afternoon.

These last two shots, ironically, are of a truck we passed after we saw the fires.

Your title is very apt. The beauty of your pictures mask the sadness of the fires.

We already know that this will be a bad year for wild fire up here. It's a worry every summer.
I hope everyone in that area was evacuated and there was no loss of life.
The truck photos - too, too weird!

fires are so scary...We had one about a block away from here the other day and because of wind and the high temperatures they evacuated our neighborhood out.....
It all ended up ok though, I think the firefighters of Utah are used to battling brush fires....and I am doing better....blogging again.

Scary! We've been told that this year is especially dangerous. Fire is a real concern here...

Afraid this is a sign of what might be a busy year for fires. Great captures!

The 3 times I've been in AZ, there's always been some kind of wildfire, usually a big one. I don't know how y'all live like that. It breaks my heart. I do love my green.

Sad, but necessary...
Very nice photos Jenny! I wonder what in the heck those colorful devices are on the back of that truck?

Isn't it amazing that something so terrible can look so beautiful in your photos. I've been in Florida during their fires (which haven't been as dangerous) and seeing the "after" is just horrible.
