Alphabe-Thursday Thankful C

This round of the alphabet I want to share what I'm thankful for.

I am thankful I have Granddaughters with caring hearts.

The time is zipping by and getting closer and closer to our three cute Granddaughters moving to Ireland.   Our son found a beautiful home for them all to live in there.  It is in the country and surrounded by huge trees and views that take your breath away.

The house is fully furnished, but a storage unit will be left behind filled with furniture, bicycles and holiday filled bins.

Mr. Jenny and I are so excited to see this chapter in their lives commence...

But we are selfishly wondering how we will fill all our time.

Perhaps I will become a professional candy maker specializing in caramel...or we will join a card club...

It will be odd to find a life not centered around elementary school and our daughter-in-laws work schedule...

But it'll be something new.

And I hope the fact that our Granddaughters have caring hearts will help them want to stay in touch quite often!

  1. Been thinking about you a lot, knowing how hard this must be. You SOUND like you have a positive attitude about it, but do you really? I've got to be honest, I know I wouldn't. I'm upset than mine are moving further away and they will still be in the same state.

  2. They have caring hearts and you will always be a part of their hearts. I know you will miss them but you will find something to keep yourself busy! Keeping you in my thoughts as the time draws near for them to fly to Ireland! Hugs, Linda

  4. Those caring hearts? They came about those naturally because their grandmother has the biggest heart on earth!

    Love you...

    XO,

  5. Yes, your grandma's heart will miss those little dear ones as they set off on this grand adventure. Who knows what fun thing you will find to do, or to learn in that spare time ahead.

  7. Jenny I see you have a new place to visit!! :-)

I know how much you'll miss them. But you and Mr. Jenny can always sleep in a caboose again and share the hilarity.

    Happy Holidays.
Hope you are feeling a bit better these days.

  8. Clever You...working in the upcoming move and all the news that goes with it in this Letter C post. Of course your Grand Gals have 'Caring Hearts'...they get that from you, and I bet they would love for you to be a Candy Maker or a Candlestick Maker or a Crocheter....oh, that's me...do you crochet? Thanks for hosting and making the Alphabet so much fun every Thursday.

  14. I am sure you will find lots of ways to fill your time. And think, you can go over for a visit and see new things! What an adventure! (it took us a year of careful saving to get our trip to Scotland...if we can do it, believe me, so can you!) Take care! Cathy

  16. You will need to go visit, of course! It sounds pretty neat.

As a far-away grandma, I can tell you that you will miss them like crazy. But Skype helps! And it's fun to send them little things, too.

    Lots of surprises.

    =)

  17. I can only imagine how much this tugs on your heart. I know you want the best for them and having big adventures is always the best…..but missing them will be hard!
Perhaps volunteering at the school will give you a little joy….you know, other cute kiddos will love your silly sense of humor too ;)
Wishing you all the best Jenny.
    XOXO

Hi! Thanks for leaving a comment! My handy dandy e-mail assistant always notifies me when you do and I read every single one.

I try to respond to comments with a return e-mail BUT I just noticed that I've been answering a lot of them to blogs that haven't linked their e-mail address to their Google account! I haven't been ignoring your comments, but now I know you aren't getting my reply e-mails! I'm sorry!

I know a lot of other bloggers who respond to comments via e-mail so if you haven't left off your e-mail on purpose, you might want to add it on! If you don't know how you can let me know in your comment and I'll see if I can help you!

Thanks so much for reading my 'Tangents'! Your comments always feel like a hug!
