Do you see the speck of me?

Laying here in the field?
Back pressed against the prickles of grass?
Earth rotation pulling me down?

Do you see the speck of me?
Wherever you are?
Somewhere in the universe?
Heaven?
The great beyond?

Do you see the speck of me?

I close my eyes.
I feel you pull me along with gravity.
I feel my heart push closer to the earth.
And I miss you.
Laying here in the field.

With my back pressed against the prickles of grass.

Do you see the same sky I see?
Somewhere in the universe?
Somewhere in heaven or the great beyond?

Do you see the speck of me?
Laying here in the spring sunshine?
And I miss you.

  7. Beautiful and sad. I love the vivid nature imagery you used - spending an idyllic spring/summer day remembering a special someone with every prick of the grass and every shape in the clouds. Loved this. :)

  8. I miss you. I haven't been here (or anywhere) very much lately. Chronic illnesses can take a lot out of a person. Just managing them every day can be a job in itself. I understand your discouragement.

  13. Yes, I do see that speck that is you, and I know Somebody upstairs does, too.

Sometimes I wish His timetable and ours could be a little more in sync…especially during hard times.

    =)

  14. He will never leave you! Even in the darkness he is there. I have asked the same question. This year has been hard. JDaniel3 lost his job, I tried to find one, JDaniel4 decided he hated school, and we found out my mom had terminal cancer. It didn't always feel like He was there, but he has been and will be. I can look back and see His hand on each event.

  16. I hate illness, period, end of that sentence! I want you well. I want to see you laugh. I want to see that sparkling smile. This is the age where they should be able to say hey this is going on! ake them listen! Make them know you as a person! Want me to come over there and kick their butt? My hubby will Bruce Lee them outta the way!? Get better, you need some answers. Love you and I am praying for you.

Hi! Thanks for leaving a comment! My handy dandy e-mail assistant always notifies me when you do and I read every single one.

I try to respond to comments with a return e-mail BUT I just noticed that I've been answering a lot of them to blogs that haven't linked their e-mail address to their Google account! I haven't been ignoring your comments, but now I know you aren't getting my reply e-mails! I'm sorry!

I know a lot of other bloggers who respond to comments via e-mail so if you haven't left off your e-mail on purpose, you might want to add it on! If you don't know how you can let me know in your comment and I'll see if I can help you!

Thanks so much for reading my 'Tangents'! Your comments always feel like a hug!
