A gardening giveaway

Since I've had a little run of gardening posts of late I thought it was only fitting that I do a giveaway for a gift certificate for gardening. I love this company! They were growing organically before it was even "in style"! I have been ordering from The Tasteful Garden for a long time and it is my favorite place to buy all my vegetable plants. If you don't have space for a vegetable garden don't worry, they sell herb sets, cool things for the kitchen, books, fruit trees and lots more stuff.

I started writing a little garden blog for them last year which was fun and which you can link to through my side bar!

But I don't think you even care about all this, do you? You just want to know what the giveaway is for, don't you? How about a $50.00 dollar gift certificate! Yup, it's true. Enough to buy lots of tomato plants or a Myer lemon tree or some raspberry bushes.

Here's all the blah, blah, blah to get up to 6 entries total AND each entry must be a separate comment so I can attempt to use the pick-a-winner software:

1. You must be a follower of my blog- (1 entry)
2. You must link to the drawing on your own blog and let me know you did! (1 entry)
3. Leave a comment on this post (1 entry)
4. Leave a comment on any other post of mine (1 entry)
5. If you have been a follower before this giveaway or a member of Chickberry or SITS please post a separate post for a bonus entry!
6. Visit The Tasteful Garden and post an additional comment telling me what you'd buy if you win!

Drawing will be held on Sunday, January 17! Winner will be notified on January 17 in a post here AND by e-mail. If I don't hear back from you within 24 hours a second winner will be chosen and you will loose your prize.

Sorry to be mean and all but I have a short attention span and if I don't get stuff taken care of right away I tend to forget to do things!

If you have any questions you can post them your entry comment below. Good luck and happy garden dreams!

PS. The rest of the peony story will post on Tuesday morning! Thanks for following along!

  2. I love that site The Tasteful Garden, I have bookmarked it. I think I would choose the Heirloom Tomato to grow, nothing like a homegrown tomato.

  3. You said to post another comment if we were ALREADY a follower and I am!

  4. You are so sweet! Thank you very much and in time for your giveaway too. I majored in horticulture, so we share a love of plants :) I'm looking forward to starting seeds in a month or so to be ready for spring planting. I usually start perrenials. We're having such a tough winter that this spring will be especially welcome to arrive. Stop by anytime.

  7. This is one giveaway I better not try to win. It wouldn't be fair to the vegetation. In fact, I was once told that if I killed one more plant, the botany police were gonna be called. Yeh...even my fake plants die on me.
But what a great giveaway! Good luck to whomever wins!

  8. Wow Jenny! what a neat giveaway! I joined yesterday as a follower here and have posted a comment on both of your peony posts. I'll do a post on my blog tonight linking to you. I'll be back later to talk about The Tasteful Garden and all the great things I find there.... Thanks for the giveaway... no matter who wins it's so generous of you!

  9. #6. I would buy a meyer lemon tree if I win.

  10. I've always wanted a big garden, but since my postage size back yard has no dirt, only cement and a deck, my garden consists of comtainers in which I grow tomaotes and peppers and herbs. "Tasteful Garden" is a nice website and I enjoyed reading their gardening tips and recipes. I think I'd buy the herb assortment if I won, and the "Greens Glorious Greens" Cook book caught my eye.
I'll have to check out your other blog that you write for them! :-)
Nice give away Jenny! I've been a happy follower for awhile.

Hope you had a good weekend!

  85. I hadn't heard of the tasteful garden before, what a great variety!
Last year the evil mail order company I ordered tomatoes from sent them at the end of June, and most of them were dead, and by the time I got anything going from them I got perhaps 4 tomatoes from the 8 plants.

What I would order with the certificate would be...*drumroll*
Super San Marzano, Opalka, Better Boy, Black Zebra, Kellogg's Breakfast, Solar Fire, Yellow Grape, Rose de Berne, Fireworks...all those tomatoes for ME

And Yukon Gold potatoes for my tomato hating husband.

He likes tomatoes once they are made into sauce, but I really need to validate having 8 tomato plants to try to get enough to transform them!

    gibbylet(at)gmail(dot)com

    ReplyDelete
  86. Yum...I would buy herbs and arugula (haven't tried to grow it yet.) And eggplant. And those purple potatoes!
