Yup.
We're all about the wild times here at the Matlock house.
Friday afternoon it got down to a brisk 101 degrees and things got crazy.
Our youngest and middle Grandlittle came to visit after school and promptly said, "Wow, it's not too hot out! We should ride our bikes!"
Mr. Jenny dragged out the new (to them! I love garage sales!) Green Machine...and they were off!
Stuffed animals, a pogo stick and neighbor kids joined in the fun...
And our sweet Grandlittles enjoyed a gourmet meal of hardboiled eggs, turkey and peaches on their vehicles of choice...
And we were all exhausted.
I love the bike! They look like they had a blast!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I can just see their excited faces each time they learn they are going to grandma & grampa's house!
ReplyDeleteLooks like more fun that any kid could poke a (pogo) stick at !
ReplyDeleteMy FAVORITE kind of day! Little ones having fun on the riding toys! WE have quite the collection around our home too:) Have a blessed day my friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day to me!
ReplyDeletePerfectly perfect! It is getting pretty nice out now, isn't it? Looks like we're gonna' have to get together. I'm having a garage sale this coming Friday and Saturday.....come on over!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meri
Oh, how much fun???!!! Move to ENON and let's all play together in the 67 degree weather!
ReplyDeleteThey are ADORABLE!! I love how one of them crammed what looks like a pillow behind them on the bike!!
ReplyDeleteLove,
LuLu~*xoxo
Looks like fun for all! 101 degrees and no jackets? Isn't that considered cold for this time of year in Arizona?!
ReplyDeleteWe had a pretty awesome Pogo stick that the kids (and my husband) used to love. A few weeks ago, one of my son's friends was jumping on it when a foot peg snapped off. Yowch! I guess it pays to inspect these things from time to time!
OMG, they still have the Green Machine around??? I loved that thing!! Sounds like a fun, sweat filled, day:-)
ReplyDeleteOh, what fun! It would be super to be one of your grandlittles. Hugs
ReplyDeleteOh how fun for you, mr jenny and all the kids!!!!
ReplyDeletePeaches and eggs; I hope no one is preggers. :)
xoxoxo
Adorable pics. That green machine looks like a blast. When I was a kid, I was the queen of the pogo jumping competitions in our neighborhood. I tried getting on a pogo stick again about three years ago. I forgot that I was much older, and much more incontinent. Oops.
ReplyDeletethat looks like so much fun! At 101 I am hiding in my AC...we are topping out in the 80's now with 50's at night and let me tell you, I am in HEAVEN
ReplyDeletei got a long-awaited pogo stick for my 7th birthday and never learned to jump on it. Somehow, the whole process was a lot more difficult than it had looked on TV.
ReplyDelete=)
101? I would not survive!!!! But you are such a good grandma!!!! The smiles on their faces show how happy you and Mr. J make them! Hope it cools down some for you :)
ReplyDeleteonly 101 degrees you say! must be perfect weather for a green machine!!! It looks like fun was had by all!
ReplyDeleteWho could ask for more? Adorable shots Jenny.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, sweet and loving. Beautiful photos, I like that tricycle.
ReplyDeleteSeeing that Green Machine and pogo stick, brought back some memories. I still have both around here, somewhere! Excellent photos, Jenny!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun time for all. I especially love that green machine...lol...
ReplyDeleteIt's good to know we still have a little 'wild' left in us! Heeehehehe1
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable pictures Jenny!
You are most certainly blessed!
God bless and have a terrific day sweetie!!!
The 'green machine' looks like quite a workout is involved in the use of it!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of bike is that?? It reminds me of the big Wheel bikes that were around when I was very young. Looks like all had fun. Kids are so easy to feed. And I do love a cold kitchen!!~Ames
ReplyDeleteI think I have found my match for someone that enjoys their grandkids as much as me and my hubby. And how cute that they had their lunch "on the vehicle of their choice".
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that some were more exhausted than others - the taller ones, perhaps?
Their rides, especially the green-machine, looks super cool! It looks like they all had a blast, and were ready for movies and popcorn maybe! What a great way to end the week!
ReplyDeleteWhat great fun they had - and haven't they got pretty hair? Even so, 101 degrees sounds pretty warm to me:-)
ReplyDelete101 degrees is not too hot? Wow. I mean, I want orange trees in my back yard, but I don't know if I could really sacrifice the cool autumn weather for them. You are amazing, Jenny, for living there.
ReplyDeleteAnd how cute are those little girls?! And the bikes, and the lunches, and a pogo stick? I haven't been on one of those since I was a little kid! You really do know how to throw a mean party!
The Green Machine looks really cool! Lots of great childhood memories were made on Friday night :)
ReplyDeleteMy boys have had more fun with 2 big wheels my Mom picked up (on the side of the road) than anything store bought!
ReplyDeleteLooks like they all have a fun afternoon, and yummy healthy meal afterward.
