I am a woman now...

...but I am not roaring.

In fact, I'm having a hard time taking a deep breath.

I bought my first sports bra.

Orange, thank you very much.

But I have a question.

Are they supposed to feel like they are squishing your ...ummm...mammary glands into your shoulder blades?

I got the right size. I'm sure cuz I even put my reading glasses on to check the size. TWICE!

Are they supposed to feel like this?

And isn't it kind of like shutting the barn door after the cows get out?

It's not like the sports bra is going to re-perk the already un-perked.

You know.

I'm really beginning to feel like this whole walking gig is just not worth the pressure.

ha!

Get it?

Pressure?

Sports bra?

Ahhhh...

Never mind.

I think the sports bra may have cut off some oxygen to my brain, too.

Another item that has become un-perked over the years.

...

...

Sigh...

  3. Jenny - good to know. I was looking online for one. I too walk and the girls oh the poor girls. They used to be big now they are just long. Sad, sad, sad.

I got a dog 3 yrs ago and I walk 3 miles a day with her. i saw a picture of the muscles in my calf. Amazing. My legs are short and they look like a Russia lifter for heaven's sake. I put my glasses on for this?

  6. Jenny Dear, they are supposed to be squeezy for "motion reduction" You probably bought one that is good at that. I recommend that you wear it for walking. Keeps you from ruining your other bras and from them ruining your skin - with things like chaffing. If you don't get used to it buy one with a lower level of motion control.

  8. Heck, I don't even wear a regular one unless I have to leave the house. Maybe not having big boobs isn't so bad. NOT!

    Sorry for the squishing.

  9. I only get my boobs squished once a year ... at the mammogram ... bras of any kind that squish, i just don"t wear ... even if it leads to bouncing in the most unfortunate way ... keep walking!!!

  10. LOL xD I must admit to not being a fan of sports bras... all the ones I've tried are uncomfortably tight too! Nice colour though ;)

  11. Jenny I have one and it's the most uncomfortable thing...but if I were to start walking, well it might be helpful...but that squeezing you mention makes me think I'll keep thinking about it!

  12. Yeah, I'm not a fan. I've just been wearing some sporty type bras {no underwire!} and just a tank top. The sports bras are really smooshing to my, you know glands.

  13. Can't help ya out there sister, I'm rollin' my mams up like socks just to fit in my bras (I mean over the shoulder boulder holders). I haven't been able to fit in a sports bra in years. I don't think they make em big enough to fit me. I'm better off with ace bandages.

  14. As one who has transitioned from a
36B to a 36 long, I can't offer much to you but sympathy.

  15. Hi Jenny! Yes they get squeezed quite a bit but if you're only walking and not running..I'd suggest the next size up...so you can breath better.
How are the grands? You must be dying of the heat out there! It's going to be 90 here tomorrow.
    Take care,
    Patti :)

  16. I love sports bras! But considering I play soccer every single day, I need one. And I don't mind the um, "squishing". Just wait for it to stretch out a bit, and you will like it better! And good color choice!

  17. Sports bras are not much fun to wear. But they do the job. Love that you got yours in orange. :)

  18. I almost always wear sports bras because I can't stand bouncing. On the other hand, I'm not massive round the bust, so there isn't quite so much squishing, just a lot less joggle.

  19. I hate the things, I sweat more and then they get all well you know...UGH. Good luck

  20. This kind of bra tends to squeeze the breaths out of me! Now, I had nothing to worry about anymore :-)

  21. Sort of feels like a little straight jacket, doesn't it? I wore one for a few weeks when my brachial plexus was acting up. I needed to get my bra straps off my shoulders. Suck it up, sister!!! Actually, I always wanted to be smaller in the bust. The problem with a sports bra, however, is that it makes you look like you have only one breast that stretches all the way across your chest. Hahahahaha!!!

  22. I am with Judie! I work with a woman that paid a lot of money to get breast implants! She will not stop wearing sports bras saying they feel better than regular bras! Weird!

  23. I am also one of the unperked brain and breast crowd.

  24. Oh, I am laughing like an idiot. I swear, sitting her at my computer, nobody else around, laughing out loud. You are so funny! I remember when I bought one of those things, thinking it looked more comfortable than a regular bra. Whoaaaa, was I ever wrong! laurie
