So.
Yeah.
Things are fairly kinda/sorta icky here.
Struggling with a chronic illness gets tiring.
If you know someone engaged in a life-long battle like this...give them your understanding and your prayers.
And if you, yourself, are struggling with invisible chronic disease try and remember...
If your compassion doesn't include yourself...it is incomplete.
I read that today.
And it made me think.
I have stories to tell.
So, so, so many stories.
Just too tired to tell them right now.
I hear you! Yes, the battle is tiresome for one and others around. Hubby had Crohn's attack last night, 3rd in 4 months...too many. We got to bed about 5 this morning. 40 years of CD and now all the complications...including diabetis...no fun. Thinking of you tonight...hang on tight!!!! Like Scarlett always said tomorrow is another day!"
ReplyDeleteTake it easy Jenny, hope you are feeling better...hugs, Cathy
ReplyDeleteOh Jenny, you have all my best thoughts and prayers coming your way.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing much better soon and we will be here when you are.
Sending hugs and prayers to you! It's good that you are resting when you are tired...everything else can wait.
ReplyDeleteJenny I can hear how tired you are! I hope things improve! We need to hear all your stories!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
I hear you. I don't know what your particular "joy" is, but I certainly get having a chronic and invisible illness. I have fibromyalgia and, after a lifetime of working on my feet, my knees are starting to get bad. I'm in constant low-grade pain that leeches the energy from me. I also live with mental illness, which is fairly stable but nonetheless can sometimes be disabling.
ReplyDeletePeople who don't have these issues don't understand. They tend to think that if there isn't something visible on the outside then we're just "making it up" or "being lazy."
I enjoy reading what you write. One recurring theme with people who have chronic illness is the "oh, I shouldn't complain" theme. I say bitch away! There's a difference between venting and whining.
So sorry for your suffering sweet friend. Please email me your address so I can come visit, I know it's hard for you to get out, so I need to come to you.
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Meri
Jenny this sounds very rough and I am asking Father God to surround you with healing and rest and the comfort of good people being nearby.
ReplyDeleteThanks -- sorry we're both in that chronic boat.
ReplyDeleteI definitely understand.
ReplyDeleteThoughts and prayers.
Thinking of you, Jenny, and praying. I get so tired at times, too. Enno doesn't understand and thinks I'm lazy. Bi-Polar does that to me. I do all I can to keep myself stable which is hard with a partner who doesn't get it. Prayers for you. Ride it out, once again, as you always do. We do bounce back, eventually. xo Jenny
ReplyDeleteTake it easy and share when you are comfortable. Sometimes it helps when others understand what they can't see. And prayers always help so sending bunches to you now.
ReplyDeletefeel better soon Jenny! (((Hugs)))
