Saturday Centus - You are my sunshine...

Jenny Matlock
Welcome to week sixty-six of Saturday Centus.

Loved the egg posts! You guys are wayyyy too clever.

So this week, we'll kinda/sorta go back to a regular prompt.

But...

I'm going to make it a tiny bit different by doing a little giveaway with this weeks offerings.

The prompt this week is: "You are my sunshine..."

You can use the four words of the prompt AND, since my office is ridiculousy hot for most of the day, UP TO 50 additional words. You can also use a picture if you like.

The regular restrictions apply: PG, no splitting of the prompt, play nicely and visit the other entries, any style or genre of writing you prefer.

This fun little sign will be the prize for this giveaway.

It is 9 x 10 inches so it will fit just about anywhere and it comes in pink, light blue, light green, navy, milk paint teal, apricot, yellow or black.

This company will only ship to the continental US, so if you win and live anywhere else, your prize will be an Amazon gift card for $25.00.

The little sign will take 3 - 4 weeks to get to you, since I can't order it until I choose the winner (since I want you to have a color choice).

Here's all the blah-blah-blah fine print stuff.

1. Your linked post is your entry.
2. Linky closes on Saturday August 13. I will use the Random Org site to select a winner on, Sunday, August 14th.
3. I will notify you by e-mail on Sunday night so you can get your color selection and address to me.
4. You can get one extra chance for this cute little sign by visiting the last 7 links from last weeks SC and leaving each a comment. Just leave a comment on this post telling me you did it and that will count as an extra chance. (Hmmm...I hope that wasn't too confusing.)

...

...

Please display my link button or just a hyper-link back to Saturday Centus. Be careful to link your SC URL to the Linky and not just link to your main blog.

E-mail me directly with ???'s or ask your question in a comment and I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.

Feel free to link up anytime between now and next Saturday!

  3. I so try to get to all of the links. But I will go do it so I have a better chance of winning. *laughing hysterically*. I know you just asked why I'm laughing, well, because, Random.org hates me. But I still give it a go once in a while. :)

    Great prompt.

  4. Sunshine? Need Rain...Just because you live in the land of the desert sun does not give you authority to keep coming up with these 'hot' prompts. If you don't stop, I am going to have to make you do a prompt with snow imagery. Ha!! BTW i did as you asked and have read the last 8 postings from last week...oh, I want that sign sooo badly...Peace and blessings

  7. Oh yes dear sweet Jenny I just savor this prompt and also gives me a chance to bring forth my Marionette that some asked for last week...like they never ever saw a Marionette with his one arm tied behind his back while blindfolded and in competition with Sir Gordon! The only 50 extra words does me good too cuz it's a busy weekend! Thank you so much Miss Jenny! Have a great weekend! ;)

  8. Thanks for the constant variety for Centus. Also thanks for reminder to go back and read last 7 of last week. I zip along all week reading and then a new week starts and I forget...so I miss some good ones. Glad you pushed me back this week so I didn't miss Tom's Humpty Dumpty one!

Cranking up to another 106 today...very tired of weather and my own whine about it. First horrible winter, short wet rainy spring bringing killer torndao, and now hot as Hades...I am afraid to even think what is next! Centus is a nice escape!

  11. Thanks for allowing a picture! It really helps unscramble some of the mess in my head when I can focus on one idea. As always, I'm so grateful for this meme, as I am a complete idiot by the end of the week!

Your comments also feel like hugs!

  14. I read the last seven blogs from last week but wasn't able to post on one of them. I love this prompt and I love that cute little sign. When the contest is over, could you please post a link to the store for those of us who do not win as I would love to have one.

  15. Hi Jenny,

With apologies, I wrote a story I titled "Jenny" before remembering it was your name. I had deleted that story and re-posted it as "Debbie".

  16. Oh, dear. I interpreted the word count this week as an additional 50 words on top of our usual 100 and didn't realize I had it wrong until I read Judie's comment on my Centus (and now these comments, here).

Sorry, Jenny. I think I got in too much of a hurry reading the instructions. From now on, I will read them over slooooowly and carefully!

(And if that doesn't work, I'll have my head examined!)

    ;)

  17. PS. I did read and comment on all the Centuses last week. Does that redeem me?

    =)

  19. I liked reading these. My boys are on the autism spectrum, and they had speech delays. When they began talking (finally) they only used words that they picked up from songs or TV programs. Fearing that I would never hear them say "I love you" I taught them this song. Then - when I sang it to them, I would stop after I said, "You'll never know dear, how much.." and then they would say it, every time. :)

I collected many "I love you"s that way!

Hi! Thanks for leaving a comment! My handy dandy e-mail assistant always notifies me when you do and I read every single one.

I try to respond to comments with a return e-mail BUT I just noticed that I've been answering a lot of them to blogs that haven't linked their e-mail address to their Google account! I haven't been ignoring your comments, but now I know you aren't getting my reply e-mails! I'm sorry!

I know a lot of other bloggers who respond to comments via e-mail so if you haven't left off your e-mail on purpose, you might want to add it on! If you don't know how you can let me know in your comment and I'll see if I can help you!

Thanks so much for reading my 'Tangents'! Your comments always feel like a hug!
