You are my Sunshine!

“But why can’t I, Momma? I’d be soooo good at it.”

“Dear, I’ve told you before. You are a sunflower. Sunflower’s can’t go up into the sky.”

“But Momma…why? I would shine ever so brightly on everyone.”

“You just can’t dear…but remember…you are MY sunshine

…Don’t you spit your seeds at me young man!”

This little 50 word story is linked to week 66 of Saturday Centus. The prompt is in bold. To read other sunny offerings, just click here.

Jenny, your meme is so much fun.
I barely could sleep last night for wanting to know the prompt for this week. At first, I thought, I wish she would give us the info late Fri. night so we could work on it...then, I thought, "O, no...it's much more fun this way...to wait until Sat. morning, sweat and type and type and sweat, all the while thinking, "I gotta come up with something SOON..I'm gonna get left behind." lol
    I love it all.

  20. Laughing...what it is to be young and innocent!
When I was younger, sunflowers used to scare the heck out of me due to their size and I always thought they had an evil eye.

    Awesome!
