Saturday Centus - The End

Yikes.

Who had the very bad idea to limit this to only 25 words PLUS a two word prompt?

Whoever did it is evil. Very, very evil.

And should be strung up by their heels.

After leaving many perfect combinations of words on the cutting room floor, I am left with this bare bones poem that doesn't flow the way I want to...

BUT...

I've heard the lady that runs this meme is a harsh taskmaster so I don't want to tick her off.

Ahem...Here is my week 57 Saturday Centus offering.

What if the end
is not beginnings
or roads with a bend?
Not windows opening
to fields of clover?
What if it means
Things are just over?

    You did well with challenge Jenny. I am always too wordy and could not order from a menu in 25 words--much less excell at this exercise as you have done.

    Depressing. That is what it is. I don't like endings... unless it is to a really bad movie. Or living with my inlaws. Then the end is gorgeous.

    I'm blown away by your talent at painting with words and, well... with actual paint!

    I love what you did with this week's prompt and what you did with those stools. I hope you're selling them because they're really beautiful. If we lived near each other I'd definitely have you do one for me.

    I think your poem is wonderful - well done!
    Your projects are fantastic, very creative. You could build up a business with these (if you haven't already) but, OUCH! I felt for your poor finger. I hope it stops throbbing soon.
    I laughed at Holy Cow and I really laughed at the knock knock joke - I shall have to tell it to my grandchildren when they come to stay next weekend. I expect they'll look pityingly at me . . . ;-)
