Mr. Jenny's continuing 15 seconds of fame...

...you know?

Being on my blog and all.

I'm nice like that.

Willing to share the glory.

Or something.

And since you've been asking...Mr. Jenny just copied all the comments with questions and wrote answers to them while I've been running around like a crazy woman with my friends all weekend. The only change I've made to them when I past them on here is to delete out the avatar photos cuz they just come up as a blank little box...

Other than that...I am giving you his answers verbatim.

And speaking of friends...

I still have several here so I'm gonna jet...

But here's Mr. Jenny! Linda said...Question to your Hubby? How did he ever get so lucky to find a great Gal like YOU???

Thank you, I always say I’m the lucky one in this marriage. Finding each other was a challenge – I was a Gringo working and living in Mexico City at the time, and she was working and raising three teenagers in the Phoenix area. But we found each other, and that old cliché really applies: The rest is history.

Justine said...Okay, Mr. Jenny. Let me ask you this. Is Mrs. Jenny as witty and entertaining in real life as she is on her blog?

Entertaining? Absolutely. But sometimes her "witty in a crowd" flies over the audience with very few understanding nods in the house. She thinks a little differently and sometimes people just don't "get" her!

Mighty M said...My question is: Does Jenny prefer boxers or briefs? :)

You people. I worry about you.

The Muse said..."what is the one piece of clothing you would take away from your wife's closet, if ONLY you could~and what is the one piece of clothing she would fight for?"

See my answer above. Really, I worry about you. Do you think I would even THINK about answering that loaded question? Geez, you people, really.

e said...Who burps louder? Jenny or Mr. Jenny?

I don’t have a clue, since we are both exceptionally observant of Mrs. Post’s etiquette. (Yes, I’m kidding.)

Deb said...Mr. Jenny- Are you as special as your wife leads us to believe? Does she ever stop making you laugh?

You are kidding, right? I don’t have a clue about that, either. I’m just a simple country boy originally from the woods and prairies of North Idaho (see her “why I hate Idahonians” where she was mostly writing about the ex’s friends). I own and operate a small telecommunications technology company.

No, I never stop laughing with her.

Note from me: I have no idea what that first paragraph even meant in conjunction to the question but I said I'd do a cut and paste and I'm keeping my word here!

Cindy (Letters From Midlife) said...My question for Mr. Jenny:
Was she like this when you met her or first got married or is this a midlife thing? I guess what I'm really asking is "are you surprised by her behavior??" lol

We’ve been married 10 years, and together for 2-3 years before that. She was a bit more reserved in those early years … It took a while for her to actually believe that I loved her “behavior”. The secret for us? We don’t take too much, too seriously. Or at least we try not too. We laugh a lot, and I think we always will, mostly at life going on around us.

Questions that came in later along with very short answers -- Sorry, my blog writing time-limit has passed, but I’ll visit with you all again someday, maybe, hopefully. Mr. Jenny

Vicki said...DO YOU HAVE A SINGLE BROTHER? (O:

Nope.

Deborah Ann said...Do you ever get to see your wife? I don't see how that could possibly happen. Well, except for the time the cat scratched her face...

Sure, she puts a good amount of time into her on-line activities, but she reserves most of her time for the grandkids (babysitting one those three days a week), often weekend soccer and basketball games with those same g-kids, time for our grown children, time for me, for Oskar the wiener dog, and a passel of friends, parents, other family members… plus her gardens, her Master Gardener program, ZippyStrippy Quilts, Chicks Cookbook, the Girl Scout cookie sales this spring, you saw her comments on planning and executing her dad’s 80th birthday in January of this year… and there’s more that keeps our Jenny quite busy!

Note from me: Our Jenny? Hmmm.... what does that mean?

Paula said...Do you wonder daily how you ever got along before you met this darling & funniest person in the world??'

Often -- she’s made a very big, hugely positive impact on me.

Note from me: Paula, I love you!

Yaya' s Changing World said...Also, do you have any idea of just how funny your wife IS? You must be in stitches AAAAALLLL the time.

Yep, she is! Life is certainly interesting with Jenny, there is no boredom here.

My name is PJ. said...Here are my questions for Steve: What? Why?

Answer: The 5 Ws: Who, what, when, where, why.

Note from me: Huh?

Sares said...I am curious as to how you first met and what his first impressions were of you, were you always so endlessly entertaining?!

I think this is a question for Ms. Jenny.

Note from me: Boy, this is whole other subject - ha!

Brenda said...So Mr. Jenny do you know how hard Jenny is working in front of her computer to keep us all in smiles?

I don't think she considers it work. Writing is one of her true passions...and she is happiest when she is making people feel real emotion.

OK, this is the last of the whole Ask-Away idea!

I hope Aunt Amelia is suitably recovered from the trauma by now!

This, that and possibly the other thing!

Good morning!

It's chaotic, crazy, fun here at my house this weekend and I'll tell you why later...

Since right now I have other more important things to share AND because I am about an hour away from the chaotic, crazy fun starting up again AND I should probably get changed out of my red plaid nightgown, slippers and coke-bottle-bottom glasses...

So...

First of all...

She likes us...she likes us! She really, really likes us! I got this e-mail from Lisa Leonard on Saturday and I have to share it with you!

thank YOU jenny! it was so fun-and you have the absolute sweetest readers! let's plan another giveaway for this summer! customer service will contact your winner monday. xo

I am still grinning over her gracious e-mail AND, did I mention...SHE LIKES US!

Second of all...

Mrs. Matlock is a bit slow this week visiting Alphabe-Thursdays due to present unspecified chaos! But rest assured I will definitely get to everyones post. I am at Link 40 and being wowed, awed and amazed just as I am each week. This is the coolest MEME...but perhaps I am biased...

...which brings up...

Third of all...

I know a lot of you have already finished reading the H links BUT please go back and re-read number 40. Julie somehow linked her post to circle back to my post...I corrected the link this morning and you will be really, really sad if you miss her H!

I ashamedly admit that two people e-mailed on this mistake BUT I am only getting to it now.

Blush.

Sigh...

And fourth of all...

See how organized I am? Totally organized right? Numbering my little things I need to tell you in this totally organized fashion!!!! Yup, I'm thinking about changing the sub-title of my blog to "off on my organized tangent"!

When you think of Jennymatlock.blogspot.com I know the first words that pop into your head are organization and razor sharp focus!

Right?

Hmmm... I must be going deaf because oddly there was no resounding "hoorahs!" and acknowledgements on that question.

Weird.

But anyway...

Have a good day....

...

...

...

Oh... ummm...

Number four. Yeah.

So...with no further inane wanderings around the world of words...I give you... ...and some more answers to your questions...

OK here is my question for Mr. Jenny:) Is Jenny Matlock ALWAYS funny and cute as she appears to be? She makes me bend over double laughing:) and is cute as a button. Is that REAL or does she photoshop to look like that?

Yep! That’s that the real deal.

Note from me! I love Theresa!!!!!!!

Jenny's husband: Are you jealous of her love affair with her blog? :)

No -- I think the blogging is exceptionally cool! Her writing and story-telling talent have always been very strong, and the daily blogging seems to be strengthening that writing ability. Did she ever tell you that she often makes up stories to keep the granddaughters entertained when we are driving them somewhere? Amazing, amazing stories that just flow, spur of the moment narratives that entertain, engross (even me)… that tell tales with meaning, with emotion and passion. I hope we can publish some of them, someday. I’m not sure where her blog is going, but I suspect is it going somewhere special.

Marydon Ford said...DH ~ Does Jenny always look THIS good ALL the time? Is she as organized as she seems?

Oh sure, she’s a cutie! When she smiles and her eyes twinkle, the whole world is smiling with her! (Well, I might be a bit biased.) And yes, she is always well organized.

myletterstoemily said...please ask mr. jenny if he wishes you didn't spend so much time at your computer?

No, writing her blog and other writing activities has given Jenny focus and passion while other not-to-much-fun things have been going on in her life, things that have distracted, have pulled at her life-long values and activies.

w said...well. asking mr. jenny questions should be fun. like. would he want you to invite his ex to the funeral...

No, none of them.

...and I have more answers he wrote but this is getting to be a mighty long post...

...so bye for now!

Hope your day is filled with happy chaos, too!

Ask Away and Lisa Leonard Giveaway Results

Just so you know...

My husband is taking these "poor, poor, poor you" comments and using them against me.

Seriously.

In fact, earlier today, when I tried to talk to him at 3 am he told me, quite brusquely I might add, "go back to sleep...your blog readers will be annoyed at you for waking me."

So...

I am giving you the unique opportunity to ask my husband, Mr. Jenny, some questions about how difficult life is living with me...or any other questions you might like to ask him.

On Saturday and Sunday he is going to pick a few comments and answer a few of your queries.

OK, but I have to say first before I hit the publish post button...

Be nice!

Don't ask him how much I weigh. I will tell you here right now. Way too darn much!

Don't ask him what my butt measurement is. I will also answer that right now. Definitely bigger then a breadboard!

Everything else is fair game...if he picks your question.

BUT...

Since I am all about the PG-rating I have to say once again...remember to be nice!

And now...moving on to the Lisa Leonard Giveaway for this sweet necklace... Frankly I am a little disappointed that you all actually commented. I liked my first plan better...you know, where you don't comment and I get to win by default.

But that, obviously, didn't work out since there were 340 entries.

I did order a necklace for a gift and it is cool but I can't tell you what the idea is because it's a surprise for a friend and she doesn't have it yet.

So...

with no further ado...

...drum roll please...

Oh Magic Number Integer Picker thing-y...who is the lucky winner of the Lisa Leonard giveaway?

Here are your random numbers:

28
Timestamp: 2010-03-12 08:12:54 MST

And comment 28 was this post!

Told Lisa that I was entering the giveaway. March 4, 2010 8:46 PM

Congratulations Sue! Lucky, lucky you!

Please e-mail me at: jennymatlock at cox dot net and with your address and the word you would like on your beautiful necklace.

The winner has 48 hours to respond. If I don't hear from you in that time, I will select a new winner on Sunday around 8:30 am MST.

So ya'll have a good day...and I am off to do something incredible meaningful. Like clean the bathroom.

The life of glamor just never stops, does it?

Sigh.
