Friends, Romans, Integers...

...lend me your eyes.

Because I have just conducted a highly scientific process that allowed me to select the winner of the gift certificate to the Tasteful Garden!

There seems to be two methods of picking a winner here in Blogworld. I've previously used the draw a piece of paper from a bowl method several times but this time I decided to get all hi-tech and use the whole Random Integer Generator thing.

So...

I hired an independent smart guy person to conduct a random integer search by utilizing atmospheric noise, which for many purposes is better than the pseudo-random number algorithms typically used in computer programs.

Actually don't be all impressed with that mumbo-jumbo because I just copied it off the Random Integer website.

But didn't I sound awfully smart for a moment there?

Hmmm?

Hmmmmmm???????

Alrighty then. Moving along here.

Now just in case you aren't all smart and ummm.... math-y like me I wanted to explain in simple terms exactly what an integer is.

Just so you can use it in general conversation and all.

Ahemmmm....

An integer is a whole number (not a fraction) that can be positive, negative, or zero. Therefore, the numbers 10, 0, -25, and 5,148 are all integers. Unlike floating point numbers, integers cannot have decimal places.

No, I did not copy that from the dictionary. I knew that all. Off the top of my head.

So there.

But anyway.

Do you want to know who actually won?

At this point I've kind of forgotten.

Oh wait! I did a cut and paste and ... ta da!

Here are your random numbers:

#6 It's funny that you want us to visit Tasteful Garden. I went there the other day after you mentioned them. They are very informative on how to plant & take care of the plants they sale. You got me in the 'Garden mood' girl!! I am in need of some strawberry plants♥♥♥ Judy

So Judy!

If your brain has unscrambled from all the blah, blah, blah earlier in the post send me an e-mail!

Congratulations!

And thanks everyone for playing!

I wish you could all be winners but you can't because then ... well ... it wouldn't be a contest.

However, on Thursday I am going to start a little linked Alphabe-Thursday thing that will have prizes so come back.

I know I said it was going to be Alphabe-Tuesday but to be honest here, I lied.

Thursday it is then. Mark it on your calender. In sharpie.

Sigh.

And if you haven't read this previous post of mine about Sharpies you might like to click on this link and read it now. Just in case you haven't gotten your fully daily dose of inane rambling.
Double sigh.

Thank you So Much! I gave you a proper and public thank you on my blog today. I was embarrassed to find, when I went to link you, that I hadn't added you to my "likeable people and blogs" list. It is clearly evident that you are likeable and interesting, and now people who stumble upon my blog will know it, too.
Happy Weekend!

I just went through the same... "so do I pick a name from a hat or do I use the Random number generator" decision. I'm not math-y at all but decided to go with the generator because it made it seem more official. I'm curious to know which you preferred.

Wow! Funny stories and giveaways...I have found the motherlode of blogs!! I had to go back and read your sharpie story
(ha! ha!). I too can strike up a conversation with anyone...I teach low income children that have some very sad and scary family members and I hear all kinds of stories! I sometimes think I am the only positive person in these darling children's lives. I believe that there is a reason for everything and I think that God put me in this place because I am understanding and see the good in everyone. I guess I am kinda like my 4 year olds, I only remember the good things, but you know that is the only way to live!

Hi Jenny,
I didn't see anyplace where I could email you, so I wanted to let you know, well...

Wait a minute. Let's try that again. I saw you stopped by my place and asked if you could print the word search. Yes! Absolutely, yes! In fact, I have more puzzles on that sight and still more on my other two sites and you can print them all off and play them all you want. Thank you for wanting to. Here are the links to all three sites so you can have fun with three different types of word puzzles with your grandies. I'll see you there. Keep a hug on.

*goin back to read about Sharpies b/c ....well...don't tell anyone, but...ummmm....I'm kinda addicted to them. Not so much addicted I guess..as maybe ...a fetish? I dunno..I just love them. I collect them, all colors, and have one on my keyring...and hoard them, until the dog finds them and eats the lids off and then has purple or orange or hot pink lips.

Judy, enjoy your prize. Whatever.

Good luck with those strawberries, Judy!

And I'll have you know, Jenny, that I survived the weekend without a trip to the ER. Mainly because my husband, knowing how apprehensive I was about the attic, told me that he'd take care of it and that I should just stay downstairs and do safe things. Does he know me or does he know me?

Hi JUenny

Had a crazy day waiting 3 hours for a routine thyroid sonogram in an overbooked radiology office today and came home to find my one month old new computer will not allow me to install my printer driver and after hours of online tech support I ahd to back up my whole computer and now delete everything so it can be reformated as my "optical drive" is not working...so I'm in a bad mood. Glad the alphabe memem will be Thursday because maybe I'll be able to participate using my computer and not my husbnad's which I'm using right now and which I hate because it is not mine.

One of those days!

I would appreciate more visual materials, to make your blog more attractive, but your writing style really compensates it. But there is always place for improvement
