Saturday Centus - Picture challenge

I hate this nursing home. They have lumpy jello here. They give us disgusting protein drinks and tell us they’re milkshakes. Yeah, right. I was born at night, but it wasn’t LAST night.

At Easter they wear bunny ears and make us do an egg hunt.

I think they’re just sadistic. They like to see old people fighting over plastic eggs filled with one jelly bean. Usually a black one.

This year they added to the festivities. They made an aide dress up in a scary, weird bunny suit.

It was not EGG-cellent!

Yeah. I really hate this nursing home.

This post is linked to Saturday Centus Week 51. To see other little stories written around the same picture, just click here!

Here's wishing you have no weird, blue velvet bunny suits happening this Easter weekend. Instead I'm wishing you joy, beauty, laughter and lots of devilled eggs.

PS. I actually love the black jelly beans! I hope my kids put me in that imaginary nursing home when it's time!

Just be glad Nurse Ratchet doesn't work there, missy!
Black jelly beans are my favorites! The Cadbury Bunny was giving out chocolate eggs in Fry's this afternoon. I got TWO, because I looked needy!!

Uh...lumpy jello? uh..I don't want to know. No nursing home for me! I'm buying a one way ticket to the farthest place I can. When my trip is up I'll crawl in a ditch and die.
I love black jelly beans!~Ames

Bleccch to black jelly beans! Jenny, I won't hold it against you that you like black jelly beans ;) I loved this! Too cute! Happy Easter to you and yours! Hugs... Tammy said...

Why, Jenny? Why? I love you anyway. Happy Easter!

Great post Jenny! You can have all my black jelly beans! Eccch! Personally I think anything that looks like a rabbit dropping shouldn't be handed out as candy by a bunny rabbit, no matter how weird looking he is. It just leads to too many questions! LOL!

Have a wonderfully Happy Easter!

Dear Jenny,
What fun! Great centus! Interesting and unexpected take!

I've been trying to keep track of all the different occupations/roles this blue-velvet bunny-man can have: waiter, dancer, psychologist, father, uncle, son, date, husband, and now aide!

Hope you get lots of black jellybeans!
Thanks for your comment on my long 48-49-50-post.

I am afraid that I have not followed the rules this time. I have written more than 100 words. But I promise to stick to the rules next Saturday! Honest!

Best wishes & hugs,

Love it! You can definitely have all my black jelly beans if we are lucky enough to end up in the same fun nursing home!! Stop in & read Defected Mansion

I join my voice in the chorus of those who will happily sacrifice their black jelly beans. Blechhh!

I loved this post! The nursing home residents came to life, and I could see them stooping over, their nylons rolled down, reaching for those plastic eggs.

Happy Easter..........cj

As long as there are no blue velvet clad bunnies; he kinda creeps me out!

Tacky, tacky, tacky.

Where do these nursing homes get off anyway?

Well written and clever using a nursing home as the setting...makes me never want to end up in one either !!!

Funniest prompt yet. I've yet to write one, but I do enjoy reading them.

Great little story Jenny! Whimsical and funny with a sad undertones.
BTW, any reference to black jelly beans is a good one! Why don't people like licorice anymore?
We have five kids, grandkids, and other assorted relatives around us all the time and I'm the only one who likes black licorice.
