It's Tuesday. There should, technically, be a story of some kind here...
But...
We've been in a whirl since Saturday, though, so I thought I'd just wear you out today with tons of pictures.
While I recover.
From our Hallo-Whirl! weekend.
Saturday! Soccer! Orange hair! Halloween gummies! Nasty Halloween green gum! Yikes!
Sunday!
Woodpecker rescue! Riding the Green Machine! Carving pumpkins! Decorating cupcakes!
Monday day. School parade. School parties. School gym filled with a million screaming kids AND a live Rock Oldies band. Aspirin.
Monday afternoon. Deciding that having 300 treats wasn't going to be enough. Stopping at a grocery store to buy more.
6:30 PM. First wave of trick or treaters.
7:20 PM. Out of treats. Handed out about 510 all together. Exhausted from saying, "Awwww...what are you? Aren't you cute!!!!" 327 times. Remaining trick or treaters just got a, 'You're welcome! Happy Halloween!"
Pearl who?
Story-time huh?
Sorry!

FIVE HUNDRED AND TEN!!!
You deserve an award, Jenny!!!
Wow! That's a lot of trick or treaters! I thought we got a lot when we used to get 300. Now I get 0 because I'm in an apartment and my door is far away from the street.
Hey Girlfriend,
Thanks again for the visit. My mom really enjoyed meeting you, and she loved reading your story about mum slips. We've been alternately borrowing each others lotions that you gave us......they both smell wonderful. We're waiting to pick a special time to have the pumpkin tea, just the two of us. It was great to see you, I missed you a lot. My mom said you are positively "vibrant" and a very happy person......she's right. I see by these pictures that Julia is out of her cast...has it really been long enough already since she broke it? It seems just like yesterday. We need to get together again, soon. I'm thinking of having an open workshop after the holidays, for anyone wanting to work on projects, new and old, and just sit around and chat. Whaddaya think?
Love ya'
Meri
Pearl was probably very busy handing out candy too.
Your Hallo-Whirl pictures are great. It looks like those girls (and you) had a great Halloween.
Looks like you and the grands had lots of fun!
This year, we finally had enough candy to make it through the evening. I think we gave away somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 pieces.
I hope Pearl had a fun Halloween, too!
Where was everyone? Our cauldron was still half full by the end of the night!
Loved your photo story...you have the bestest grandlittles (until, of course, I have some of my own)
... it´s the cover from a chestnut :)
Ha. With the orange hair, I hope that translated into a win.
Hi Jenny Sweetie...
What a gorgeous share today. Love seeing that orange hair and the soccer game. Looks like everyone had a wonderful time. Even the green gum. LOVE it.
Loved the costumes. Little Red Riding Hood was adorable, loved Rapunzel as well, and I believe there was a beautiful little butterfly in there flittering around as well.
Loved all the pumpkin carvings and those cupcakes sure looked yummy. You had a beautiful weekend sweetie. Beautiful with family. Does it get any better than that?
Have a great Tuesday sweet friend. Many hugs and much love. Sherry
Hello Bloggin'Friend...my goodness but time flies when your havin' fun bloggin' and livin' life. I've been doing lots of both without much time for visiting, so I'm just droppin' in to say Howdy, and invite you to stop by CollectInTexas Gal.
As times change for all of us, our Blogs seem to reflect those changes in our interests, and CITexas Gal has changed a bit with the addition of Tracks of My Texas Ancestors. Yep, I've been bitten by the Genealogy Bloggin' Bug.

What a cute bunch of pictures! I love seeing you having fun with all of those cuties! Have a Happy Tuesday dear Jenny, HUGS!
I am so jealous! I want granlittles that are fun and can wipe their own bottoms!!! They are stinking cute and so are you!!
Jenny I really enjoy the photo essay of your week! Your Grands are so cute and so are you!!
great shots...
i think i had 15 or so treaters.
You are such a fun grandma, Jenny. Those kids are lucky!
Can't believe how many trick-or-treaters you had...
=)
omg, your littles are so lucky ... you are just a wonderful grandma!!! what a fun and exhausting weekend you had ... and 510 .... that's amazing!!!
They even celebrate at school? Only kindergarten dresses up around here. Thank goodness Halloween in my neighborhood is very minimal.
Oh what a busy weekend and oh what cool costumes. My grands were a black Ninja that scared baby sister Lily, and a frightening clown with a bloody knife in his chest. Then we had a normal dressed 15 year old with pink fairy wings and a pink glowing wand. Don't ask. (?)
I bought my sisters grands costumes while I was out in Arizona. They had so much fun picking out thier costumes. It was totally worth it.~Ames
Better to live your story than to tell it sister.
Seems like your livin' it well!!!
It was a busy weekend!!!
Mine involved, football game, bands, weddin' plannin', trip to Ash Grove, church, donkey run (hubs left the gate open...again!) and I sad to say we didn't have one little spook here on the Ponderosa. I was prepared though.
God bless and enjoy your week sweetie...rest up! :o)
Wow how much fun!! You were certainly busy busy. We had a grands birthday party on Saturday. Her birthday was truly on Halloween. No trick or treaters at our house in the woods. Nada. Do not have to buy candy, do not have to feel as though I have to eat candy. Grands are saving the Mounds for me. Giggle.
Geez, Jenny,it was like taking them to DisneyLand, and probably just as tiring.
We had lots of kids. I was surprised! Keil carved another artistic pumpkin. You can see it on my left side-bar. It got lots of compliments from the little beggars.
Liz HATED her costume! You can see those photos on my right sidebar. She agreed to keep the witch skirt on, but refused to wear the hat. Mulligan thought he looked like a regular guy in his tee shirt, so he was happy!
Kind of a screwy TorT here what with the nor'easter & snow & no power & you get the picture. Saddest turnout we've ever had.
I love that picture of you with the pumpkin. It's sheer awesomeness.
The kids are all cute too.
Jenny....you are living 'the life' !!!!
Those kiddos are so darn cute...as are you.
My heart hurts for the woodpecker though...please tell me he/she pulled through.
xoxox
How many trick or treaters???
Oh my word! I don't think I'd realised quite HOW BIG this thing is over there!!
Nice to see lots of smiley photos :)
Loved this! And the photo of you holding the pumpkin/jackolantern is my favorite of you ever!!! I saved it!! Yes I did!
The girls look soooooooooo cute! Morgan's costume - from whence did it come? Do they make it in jumbo size? I'd love to have the option of alternating an outfit like that for my daily crown and septor.
You are a fun grandma! Enjoyed all the pictures. The grandkids are such good sports posing for all those pictures!
So glad to see that other schools let the kids dress up. Not here. They wiggle all around it. It's annoying really. Your grands looked adorable!!
A live band at school, I am still way back there in this post...really...for halloween? I don't get it.
What a fun few days! Great photos. I can't even begin to relate to your trick-or-treating experience... we had zero...of course we do live in the woods. But I don't think there are 327 trick-or-treating aged kids in the whole valley where we live. What a good granny/candy hander-outer you are!!
You should have sent some of your trick-or-treaters up north! I was so excited to be home for Halloween and the doorbell rang a grand total of TWO times. I was kinda disappointed... haha!
awwwwww, so sweet to share the holiday with Grandma..I love that rockin orange hair!!!
