Pursuing my stone-shaped daydreams...

In Ston-i-color...

Get it?

Technicolor!  Ston-i- ...  okay, nevermind.

I have integrated a training program into my preparations to make my falling-down stone building acquisition a possibility.

Remember I showed you the first falling-down stone building we found over the weekend in pictures here.?

I actually almost went inside this one but the sound of bees buzzing was quite strong by the doorway and I wasn't that brave.

Sigh.

Love.   Love.   LOVE.

So much LOVE that I'm just not idly daydreaming anymore.

NosirreeBob.

I'm preparing myself for the day when I can start dismantling these ruins

(which ... ummm... the owners have not agreed to)

and moving them to my land

(which ... ummm... I have not yet purchased)

But I am preparing nevertheless in my own, quite humble way.

Yesterday I did arm exercises while holding a 16 ounce can of pumpkin in each hand.

Like bicep curls and those ones where you lift the weight ... ahemmm, I mean pumpkin can ... straight up from your side.

I had to use the canned pumpkin because I couldn't find my hand weights.

Which could be, technically, because I don't have any hand weights.
Which is probably because I've never actually trained for the actual moving of a falling-down stone building before.

But I figured canned pumpkin lifting was acceptable because many famous body builders do it.

Right?

...

...

Hey.

That was rude.

I heard your snort of disbelief.

It's true, though.

Did you see the picture?

It's not like I could have photo-shopped something like that.

mwahahahahahahhahahaha
...

But I digress.

The important thing, really, is that I'm through just dreaming.

And I'm ready to take the first step toward stone house moving preparation.

And as soon as my biceps feel better I'm going to do exercises with the canned pumpkin again.

Because I, my friends, am unwilling to let my stone-shaped daydreams continue to be only daydreams.

I.

Will.

Get.

A.

Stone.

House.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously.

For now, though, I must run.

I think I remember seeing two 4 ounce cans of tomato paste in the pantry.

I think my sore biceps might be able to handle that!

Sigh.

I love this one. It's easy to see that the builder took a lot of pride in the not only the shape of the stones, but also the type and color.
Hey, how about a house built of cans of pumpkin?

I used to live in a house that people called the "stoner" house, but I guess that's a whole different thing...

Hmmm, will you have muscles and a six-pack like that after you lift a few cans of pumpkin?
Good luck with the falling-down stone house -- you can push any stones you don't need over to my place.....

If not for dreams and goals what is there, right? I know you'll get your stone house/cottage/rock pile/garden it's just a matter of time.

Stone work is art.

I know you can do it. Check out this link. A lady wanted a rock house so badly she tore her house down while her husband was gone and moved the family into the chicken house.

She got her rock house and more.

I'll wager if you want it, you'll eventually get it.

Great photos of a very charming stone house. Even better, the canned pumpkin, tomato paste, bicep curls.

You can build your stone house, make a pumpkin pie, and some homemade sauce all at the same time, 'cause that's the kind of woman you are. Have a beautiful week!

The other day I saw someone on a blog who had made a little fairy garden.

So..you could start small and make a little fairy stone building and garden and build up from there! :)

This one is even better! The colors of the stones are gorgeous! A girl can dream. Lift those cans! ;)

Hi Jenny,
Don't have a heart attack now, know it has been awhile, but I lost my blog roll for awhile. Anyway, like your stony bldg. story, you are always so funny. and working out with pumpkin cans is perfectly acceptable,
I have use Campbell soup cans myself
a few times, but now I have the real thing........hope those biceps are
popping cause sounds like you are gonna need them. Hope you find someone who wants to sell one of those babies and a very nice spot in your backyard to reconstruct it.

Happy Pumpkin Pumping! lol

Was fun to visit as always.
Blessings, Nellie

Golly, what is there NOT to love? The stonework is unbelievable. Thanks for sharing these. I've never seen anything but grey stone buildings.
