Guess what?

Never mind!

I'm gonna tell you because you will never in a million/billion years be able to guess right!

I have an Uncle!

It's true.

He lives in Nigeria!

I don't even know where Nigeria is.  I think it's somewhere close to Argentina but I'm not totally sure.

But...

Anyway...

My Uncle from Nigeria wrote me an e-mail yesterday.

He is soooo nice.   Not only did he introduce himself to me AND apologize for not getting in touch with me earlier in my 'lieftime', he wants to send me money.

Lots and lots of money.

3.5 million dollars to be precise.

Yes.

Three.  Point.   Five.  MILLION dollars.

He only needs me to send him a measly $250.00 via Western Union so he can prepare the package to mail me the money!

Isn't that totally exciting?

I am soooo thrilled.

My nice Uncle wants to send me lots and lots of money and all I have to do is help him out with shipping it to me.

Geez.

Who even knew I had an Uncle Terence living in Nigeria?

Geez.

Sorry this is so short but I need to run and get a Western Union off.

Immediately.

...

...

Oh.

What's that?

You think it's an internet scam?

What????

Really??????

Seriously.

I'd appreciate it if you didn't dis' my Nigerian Uncle Terence.

See I KNEW we were totally related - I have the exact same uncle - SCORE.

So when is our family reunion?

I bet your Uncle Terence knows my friend who needed money because he was stranded in London when he got mugged and lost all his cash, credit cards and ID.

What a great bit of luck! Don't forget all us little people when you're spending your sweet uncle's millions.

This same Uncle comes in different guises. Obviously there are cousins gullible enough that allows this Uncle to continue doing what he enjoys doing!

Incredible!! I have heard about this on the news but I have never known anyone that it has happened to....thankfully you knew better than to send this "uncle" anything but the "middle finger"!

Ha ha I get those spam scam emails all the time. I even get them from Colonels, aunts, uncles, cousins, Ministers you name it. Why isn't there someone in the big internet office catching these people???

Oh would that money would simply fall from the sky!
Or that we would have a "Nigerian Uncle."

Not you, too! I have a handwritten letter from Nigeria, from before email was the norm.

Do you think we're related?

Hi Jenny,
That was too funny. Isn't it so sad
all the crazy scammers that are out there.........and what is more amazing is that there are so many poor unsuspecting people who get taken in by them. You wonder how these people (the scammers) sleep at night....
not well, I hope!! lol
Cause they should have a very quilty conscience....if they have one at all....maybe not!!

Hope you are doing well hon, sorry it has taken me so long to come by
but I have been out of town.
blessings, Nellie

Just goes to show what a melting pot North America is.....I have an aunt in Kenya. She sends me notes all the time and doesn't seem at all perturbed that I haven't yet sent the money. She still calls me 'dear' anyway.

Ahahaha, this was too funny!! Way to make an annoying spammer into a good laugh!! :)
I wonder why all our rich uncles live in Africa?

Ha ha ha, funny.
Although I wonder how many cute Grammies and simple folk fall for it...

Then that means we are cousins then...cause he is my sweet uncle too!
When are we going to have a family reunion?
