Gosh, aren't you glad you stopped by today?
Ahem.
Here is a pic of our sweet little Mo who just lost her first tooth. I'm ridiculously weepy over the whole matter. The mediocre little poem doesn't do her sweetness justice.
Oh baby, put that tooth back in,
Grandma's not ready for this.
Weren’t you just born yesterday?
How did you get to be ‘almost six’?
Oh baby, put that tooth back in,
Let’s wait a year or so!
You’ve been the sweetest little child,
And I’m not ready to let you go!
(sniff, sniff!)
And now for the piece of trivial writing, which is for Saturday Centus 109.
I struggled with this picture and, honestly, this is the best I could do. Writing 100 words around this picture prompt kicked my ... ummm...
Ahem.
“Can I go home and play now, Mommy?”
“No! Quit whining. And don’t smear your lip gloss.”
“Mom…Mom…Mommy?”
“Stop it! Quit whining. Seriously, you are such a brat!”
“But Mommy. These shoes hurt my feet. Can we go home now?”
“Stop! I mean it! They’ll be calling you in soon. And quit messing with your hair. It cost me a bazillion dollars to get those extensions put in!”
“Mommy! I have to go potty.”
“Well then hold it! You don’t want to miss your turn do you?”
“But Mommy! I told you! I don’t want to be Miss Junior Universe!”

PS. I feel really bad you came here expecting my usual brilliance and got this instead.
ha.
Haha!
Hahaha?
C'mon. That was funny statement. Funny and sarcastic. Brilliance! Brilliance was funny. It made ME laugh at least!
Oh geez. Never mind. Have a good weekend.

I can't believe she lost a tooth already! The other child needs to have a pair of sneakers and to get to play with Mo.
Aw!!! So exciting! Sweet pic and poem :o) And cute photo for the picture prompt.
Blessings & Aloha!
Now that things have settled down from grandbaby birth trip, dental school graduation trip, and wedding trip, caught up on art orders...I hope to get back on track with this round of Alphabe-thursdays (aka my motivation for my once a week posts!)
Oh NO, NOT the first tooth! She is sure a cutiepie:) Sweet poem, yep... I thought it was sweet! Have a blessed weekend, HUGS!
First off, I never leave the world of Matlock without feeling something and usually smiling so I am always glad I came here (ALWAYS) - second, I get the tooth thing, Hailey has been dropping them like squirrels drop seeds all spring and well....this passage of time is a constant reminder that she is growing up...and lastly I LOVED the Sat. Centus writing...sadly I am sure it happens all over the world, and I feel bad for that child!
O.k., let me get this straight--you cried because Mo lost a tooth?? Geez! Mo! Wait! DON'T DROP THAT HAT or your gwamma will cry!
And those poor little beauty pageant babies! I just want to slap those silly mothers!!!
Today a lost tooth, tomorrow a driver's license. I think you may need to buy stock in a tissue company, Jenny, as you're in for a hard time! Doesn't Mo look cute with that little gap?
I just don't get that child beauty pageant thing. What a horror.
How sweet! Losing the first tooth I mean. I'm still struggling to reconcile with the fact that some kindergartner has nicer shoes than I do. :D
I love your brilliance. hahaha. Really. Happy weekend. And be careful when you are walking. ;)
ahhh...how sweet she is!
My littlest will be five next month, someone needs to step up and have a baby!
xxoo,
RMW
Such an adorable picture of toothsome, though toothless, Mo.
=)
I don't want her to grow up either. :(
Love your writing...it is always right on the money!
xoxo
so sad that they are little for such a short period of time ... sigh ...
Mo lost her first tooth? Do you have a Tooth Fairy pillow to put it in?
I think the poem sums up how I feel about my Lily bug growing up.
And I think you gave a great view of how a lot of these children probably feel. Geez...some of these mothers need mental help.~Ames
Oh no! How can they grow up so fast and break our hearts like that?
You know time is really flying when the younger ones start losing teeth. Before you know it, the newest one will be getting his and by the time you blink, it will be his turn to lose one. I swear time didn't go THIS FAST when we were young!
I am glad I stopped by! My almost six grandson is sleeping on my couch---and I feel the same way. They grow up SO fast!
It was interesting to see the responses people had to this image of the little girl in heels...I kind of like your little Mo better...still all sweet and innocent without a mommy or grandma trying to push her into adulthood senselessly fast!
Okay, stop making fun of your Sat. Centus response! We did almost the same thing, but yours was better. And I thought your little poem about Mo's tooth loss was a classic and should go into a grandparents' book of poetry! Your little Mo is adorable. laurie
Brilliance indeed!
Aawwww...sweet little Mo! You are growing up so fast!
