WEEK 5 PROMPT
I settled into the comfortable movie theater seat with awkward 3D glasses perched on my nose, a small tub of popcorn on my lap, and a bottle of water lodged into the seat holder,
I started to look around with nervous suspicion and then calmed myself.
Three weeks into the witness protection program I had finally decided to give my overworked imagination a rest.
The trial was over. The bad guys were locked up.
I breathed out a long sigh of relief.
The first scene startled me as a speeding car hurtled toward me.
I settled my overworked nerves and had just started to enjoy the movie when the feeling of cold, hard steel pressed into the side of my neck.
I had a feeling that “We’ve been looking for you,” would be the last words I ever heard.

Scary! Good suspense!
Yikes!
So dark...I do have a smart alec question though...If it were the last words, how could this be written? Just kidding:-) I liked this, and for that matter about everything you write...even your horrible comments about my posts:-)
Awesome! Seemed a lot of people went with the trying to escape from something route this time... isn't that why movie theaters were invented? ;)
I'm likely not going to do this weeks centus; I've got a lot of obligations recently and I just can't seem to work my brain around a creative route right now, so I'm enjoying sitting back and reading everyone elses interpretations! But fear not, next weeks will be doubly awesome.
oh, pretty scary stuff ;-). I think you went out too soon you should have waited longer ;-) Great job Jenny, very suspenseful.
These were fun to read!
Love this...I'm at the edge of my seat in anticipation.
Oh, great scene! Scary and very suspenseful.
Yikes! I about jumped out of my seat on that one...
=)
PS. I think I even spilled my popcorn.
I'm sick because I thought this was really funny.
This is awesome. Great imagination Jenny.
Personally, I find 3D movies dizzying and overpriced. So, this could not happen to me :)
Loved it! Great tension, and the use of the 3D car to startle was great. Yep, this would make you dump your popcorn :) Kathy
oh my, you got me. Ouch, that hurt my heart. Great great great!!!!
Reads like a 007 thriller ;-)
Man, I'm glad I'm reading this at 11:30 a.m., not p.m.! NIGHTMARES!!!
Oh that was cool! Very intense! I couldn't help but think that would have been a great setup for an April Fools joke. Bad taste, yes, but funny nonetheless. Great job, Jenny!
