You'd think I'd learn my lesson! I wrote my yellow poem on line instead of doing it first in word in my computer. When I published it, something went haywire, half was missing and, as it was already 3AM, I was just too beat to try and remember the other half. I know better. So I sent it half a@%ed. Woe is me. Yours is cute.
Jenny! This is wonderful - compact and filled with images and concrete feelings. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we were still so trusting and pure that we believed a bandaid would fix it all?
Exploring your inner poetess I see. Is it just me or are folks reading waaaaay too much into this? It looks like a silly rhyme, it quacks like a silly rhyme, could it be it's just a silly rhyme?
Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Except when it's not. (BTW, I have Looney Tunes, not Dora.) (OMG, that's gonna cost me, isn't it?) (I H8 THT U own TXT)
Enjoyed your Ode To Yellow. I hate to admit this, but I often buy the bandaids they make for kids because I enjoy wearing them. Besides, the flesh colored ones are so obvious when you wear them, so why not wear a fun bandaid.
Jenny, dear, have you spent too much time with a hen this summer? I read that there is another strain of Avian Influenza out there, but I haven't heard that it manifests in outbreaks of poetry..........
I stopped buying colored and themed bandaids because people kept using them for every little speck of an owie. haha. I did have a secret stash for me a while back though. :P
I bet your grandchildren love Dora. JDaniel doesn't know special band-aids exist yet or I would have to search for Curious George or construction equipment ones.
I love to draw or put small stickers on the boo-boo helpers, what we call bandaids in my classroom! We also have a boo boo bunny made out of a wash cloth that we put ice cubes in for big boo boos. Love your little poem, might have to put it to a tune and sing it in my class!
Dora is a tragedy. It is a tragedy that when I go for a band aid I have hot wheels, hello kitty, dora, or bakugan to choose from. It is a tragedy that I am not strong enough to tell me kid no - learn to live with a plain band aid. I remember it being a big deal when they came out with the clear ones!

Yellow... You are sunshine in my morning:). Enjoy your day!
LOL...perfect. I almost did a "yell OW" post but couldn't figure out how to make it fit. You did it and did it superbly! Hats off to you Jenny dear!
I think the heat is getting to us.

Interesting take on Yellow, Jenny!
Something new and unusual for sure.

I love it. Dora band aids have brought lots of tragedies to a close around here.
Ha,ha, ha, ha. Great post.

Oh, you are so clever with word, Jenny. Simple little things like this really do make me smile. ~ sarah

Hmm...have another glass of wine Jenny?
THIS was your ode to yellow? Jenny my dear this was a chicken's way out of dealing with yellow...yep, I'm saying Chicken!! Love you anyway!
O dear! Hello Kitty only band-aids here:(
Life really is all about the embellishments!!!!! Especially to us girls!!!!

Well, everything is better with Dora on it, right? Did your granddaughters like your little poem?
Not ridiculous at all, just alot of fun! You always manage to brighten my day Jenny. And we had "Wishbone" band-aids when Cait was little :)

super brilliant.
Dontcha just love the YELL OW's? Ya, me too :)
I didn't think yellow could be so much fun. Either people are getting the hang of writing about a color, or....yellow just provided good blog fodder.
Such an unconventional way to look at yellow! So funny. And of course, Dora fixes everything.
Love it! Very quirky and fun.... love the colorful bandaids.
Ode to Yellow...oh yes...many bandaids have come to the rescue over the years at our place :o)
Blessings & Aloha!
I am squeezing this visit in before I head off to work! Cute! Have a wonderful Monday!!!
