Missed opportunity.

Geez. What is wrong with me?

...

OK. Please, please stop now. It was just a rhetorical question and you truly weren't supposed to start naming things.

BUT...

I have totally missed the boat on a HUGE business opportunity here and I'm pretty annoyed at myself at the moment. No, it's not chicken or dough sitting...

Really, it's not.

It's...a lemonade making company.

I'm serious.

Don't people buy a lot of bottled lemonade?

Hey! That was not a rhetorical question. You are supposed to answer to save me time googling.

Geez. Keep up here, please.

Even though you didn't answer the non-rhetorical question about bottled lemonade, I'm pretty sure people do drink a lot of bottled lemonade.

AND...

My life for the past few weeks has been loaded with Hallmark moments suitable for the adorable phrase, "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade."

So, I'm thinking...

Since life seems to be in the mood to inundate me with citrus fruit, I should totally take advantage of it and start a business.

Don't you think this is a great idea?

I know a lot of you are being inundated with 'lemonade making moments', too. We'll go in together with this thing.

Between all of us we should be able to supply the entire universe with lemonade three times a day!

AND...

Because I'm really swamped starting the lemonade making business, I must apologize yet again for being absent from your blogs and replying to e-mails. If you totally need to get in touch with me, (to tell me I won your $10,000 giveaway or something like that!) just put URGENT in the subject line of an e-mail!

OK. Off to fire up my industrial size juicer.

If I wasn't so worn out from 'lemonade making moments', I think I'd be a teensy bit more excited about a lemonade making business!

Sigh...

And on a subject I cannot segue into this post with any natural flow whatsoever... Momma Hen is having the worlds cutest Boo Banner Giveaway. Even though it greatly reduces my chances of winning (mwahahahahahaha!) click here to go visit her post. It is really a cute, cute banner for a clever school bake-sale. And she's mighty sweet as well...in a non lemon-y sort of way! (I did it! I segued! I love it when that happens!)

If life hands me one more lemon, I'm going to cut it, and rub this lemon right in it's wound.... oh, am I typing out loud? I meant to say, cheerfully, we can weather this storm together! :)

I could so be in business with you and keep you well supplied right now. Love your perspective! Makes it somehow easier to know I'm not the only one juggling all these lemons. Hope things look up for you soon! :))

Oh Miss Jenny! You are by far my favorite blogger! There's nothing I hate more than a "blogger" that NEVER comes over and comments/talks back. What? am I visiting people here or little rambling robots? sheesh. I always enjoy your posts and I feel like I'm actually visiting a person!

I love what the first commenter said... "If I get handed one more lemon....... did I type that out loud?" Ditto to that! hahaha I was kind of thinking that though as I was reading this clever post.

In the end we will keep making lemonade because that's what we do.

I'm totally with you though, if there is anyway to profit from our "lemons" that would be most excellent!

Hate to hear that it is raining lemons at your house. I know from past experiences how those things hurt when they hit you on the head. I also know that those storms do pass...or at least slow down eventually. Hang in there!

So sorry about the lemons, Jenny! Hopefully, they will all be squeezed into juice before too long.

Warm hugs...

XO,

Sheila :-)

I've been given more than my share of lemons lately! I can totally relate. No matter what I do, those darn things seem to find me!

On a related note, I did actually make a big pitcher of homemade lemonade a few days ago (really, in the non-symbolic sense, the actual beverage)and found that you can make a lovely mixed drink with it. Add a shot of triple sec and a dash of grenadine to an icy glass of lemonade and you get a cocktail that tastes very much like a Starburst candy.

So my new motto is - If life hands you lemons, make lemonade and add alcohol. Catchy, no?

make lemonade, are you kidding??? i just cut them up and add them to vodka on ice ... it's quicker ... tee he he on the serious side, i hope it stops raining lemons for you soon ... sometimes "this too will pass" doesn't quite cut it, does it ...

BEGONE, LEMONS!

(Sorry, I know the lemon exodus would mess up your new business venture, but I think apples or oranges could be equally lucrative while giving you the sweetness you deserve.)

=)

If anyone could make selling lemonade fun, it would be you.
I do hope you get to enjoy your weekend and try not to get sticky. That stuff is a mess maker. :)

at least you have a "sweet" outlook for your lemonaid moments! Lemonade is always more bareable when theres some sugar in it!
I hope your lemonade is extra sweet this week!

I hope you don't drown in all the lemonade! Hahahaha-I just had an image of Lucille Ball squishing grapes...you could just take off your shoes and hop in a giant tub and squish out some of your lemony frustrations!!! Course, I wouldn't want any of THAT lemonade, even if you DID just take a bath...no offense intended :P

I don't know how you do it. You have lemons, and yet you still make me laugh. And you still find a wonderfully positive spin to put on it. Maybe its time to visit your Cherokee healer again? To get the peace you need (and a riveting story to share with everyone).

And good luck on your lemonade business. Hopefully life will just hand you the honey for your lemonade too (or do you prefer sugar?). And water (meaning life is watered down and not crazy anymore). You need lots of water.

How about lemon squares, lemon meringue pie, lemon cake....lemon candy. YUM
