When you're weary...

I have linked this post to Natasha's Sunday Song meme.

...feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all

I'm on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you

I'll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

Sail on silver now,
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way

See how they shine
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind

The world seems hard right now. This song has been on my mind for so many people living in fear and pain and suffering and worry and heartache...

Never forget...

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

PS. Thank you Simon and Garfunkel. I only changed one word in this perfect song.

I, too, say thanks to Simon & Garfunkel & to you for printing them. Some days there almost seems to be too much. That's when I have to stop & thank Him for the peace I have in my life -- today. We certainly never know what tomorrow may bring. Jan

My mother loved this song. Yes, so many of our international friends need us to be that bridge over their troubled water.

You're the best, Jenny. :o)

I am contacting everyone as a reminder and an inquiry to see if they're attending the AZ blogger's luncheon on March 26th as I have to call the tea room on in the next few days with a head count.

Details are on the Monday (3-14) post of my blog.

If you are attending please leave a comment on that post.

One of my favorite songs by them. I sang it in HS with a friend. For an assembly. It was scary, but I love the song even more now.

So timely. Jenny, you are wonderful and good and I am so happy to call you my friend.

This is one of my all time favorite songs. I have the video of them reuniting last year and singing it, it brought tears to my eyes. The world does seem hard right now. I finally turned off the news this morning and turned on some happy music. I just couldn't take anymore and wanted to stick my head in the sand if only for a couple of hours.

Hi Jenny,
This post is so poignant...I love that song. When I think of what the people of Japan are going through and the helplessness we feel here in regard to it, oh I pray that we can help in some way to be their bridge over troubled waters.

Sending (((hugs))) your way,
Cindy

Dave and I were at a concert in Salt Lake City when we first heard "Bridge Over Troubled Water" at a Simon and Garfunkel concert. They were introducing their "new song," and it just blew us away.

It's a masterpiece. And so appropriate just now.

Thanks.
