Saturday Centus - Oh say can you see...

Jenny Matlock
Welcome to week sixty-one of Saturday Centus.

In honor of the 4th of July, I thought I'd use the pseudo-patriotic prompt:

Oh say can you see...

You can use up to 100 words PLUS the five word prompt in any style of story you choose. The only restriction is that your post must be PG! Please feel free to use a picture to illustrate your story this week if you like.

Please try to visit as many of the other links as possible. If you get a chance, perhaps you can visit the last five or so from last weeks challenge as well.

Please display link button or just a hyper-link back to Saturday Centus. Be careful to link your SC URL to the Linky and not just link to your main blog.

E-mail me directly with ???'s or ask your question in a comment and I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.

Feel free to link up anytime between now and next Saturday!

Dear Jenny,
This is a great prompt, but don't expect me to do anything patriotic or related to the Fourth of July, when I am living in a country that does not celebrate it. I'll just try do something else with it.
Hope you will have a happy Independence Day!
Hugs,
Anna

This is a very good prompt, Jenny. I was going to go for something different from the holiday, but the flag wouldn't leave my mind alone! I hope you have a wonderful holiday, know you must be hot out there too!

boy i have spent the day on this one and i am just not satisfied with what i have come up with ... this truly is a challenge for your neighbour to the North! Up in Canada, we just celebrated our 144th birthday ... we are just toddlers next to you Americans. Have a wonderful 4th of July Celebration!!!

O.K. ... stayed true to your direction; the thought came to me almost immediately ... have only read Jeff's and couldn't leave a comment [again], the rest of you are next on the list. If no comment, I apologize! Thanks Jenny, you keep me writing!!

I always look at the prompts and think, she has stumped me this week. I can't do it. But then, I don't want to be a quitter so I at least try.
