The writing is on the wall...

... if you're into painting signs.

I am.

At the moment.

I have a few more in the works but this funny little sign is a gift I made to take to San Antonio.   The letters are almost 10" tall...the wood is 48" long.

It's all hand-painted and I like the way it turned out.

Our son liked it, too.

Although he told me...

sigh...

...that he was, technically, more into grilling then barbecuing.

I told him I would keep it because I loved how it turned out...

...but he wouldn't let me bring it home!

I have a few bigger ones I'm painting now...I'll have to show you when they're done.

I love it! I'm into signs too, though not making them. I just bought BE SILLY.

Where do you find the time? I absolutely love painted signs - I think it is so cool that you are doing this (sell them on etsy?) but I can't figure out how you find the time!

Great job.

Uh, we need some signs at the shop if you're this way anytime soon.

Love it! I am into the words on the walls lately! I just finished my 2nd one! Of course, they are the pre-printed kind but I still love them!

Have a blessed day my friend, HUGS!

I would LOVE to paint signs like you… but the words 'hand painted' with my unsteady hand makes me think… maybe I should stick with stencils :o)

Love that sign!! Damn, you're good!! I have a sign on Rod's highboy that says, "You may touch my dust, but please do not write in it." and then a friend gave me another one that says, "I am a bitch, but to you, I'm MS. Bitch."

There is a sign on the winding road up Lookout Mountain for a diner/gas station called Dave's. It says, "Eat here and get gas." I swear that's the truth!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day! I appreciate your comments.

A sign is the next project on the list for when we get back from Scotland. I really like the writing on yours! Cheers!

I have lots of signs in my house that I have written and had made. It's an expensive thing to have done, and you are lucky that you can do it yourself.

Really cool!

=)

Oh, and I have a post sitting in my draft about the BBQ'ing VS Grilling thing. Your son is my kinda guy!

Good job, Jenny! My favorite that I've done for my kids is, "If it's not one thing... it's your mother!" They love it.

Just what you need to make your new home more homey, right?

You are very talented at letters. You wouldn't be able to read one if I tried it.

You've got skills! I love the way it turned out. Is there a difference between grilling and barbecuing?
