A-T winner and a quick garden tour!

Happy Saturday.

Oh my! It is lovely here today...breezy and low 80's and it definitely does not feel like Arizona in the summer time!

I wanted to announce the winner of the Amazon gift card from Alphabe-Thursday today ... and...

From 342 linked posts (U - 80, T - 92, S - 84 and R - 86) Mr. Random Org selected:

True Random Number Generator

Min: 1
Max: 342
Result: 52

Link 52 from the Letter R was Coralie's link for Rag Doll Susie!

Coralie, I'm sending you an e-mail! Congratulations!

And then I just wanted to show you how crazy my garden is at the moment. This morning I picked all kinds of flowers, shallots, jalapeno peppers, sweet corn, green beans, tomatos, eggplant, and squash. Just thought I share a few pictures of the bounty with you! I wish you could come to dinner and help us eat all this!

And this gives you an idea of how tall my hollyhocks and sunflowers are this year. I am 5' 7". I feel very "dainty" when I stand by these giants!

Hope your Saturday is sweet!

All that water-toting has really paid dividends. I've never seen sunflowers so tall. Yes, you look like a shrimp. And practically wasting away before my eyes.

Congratulations to the winner! And wow! Your garden must be blessed! It all looks yummy and beautiful...we had sunflowers when I was a teenager that grew along the path from our house to my grandparents...they were tall but yours are taller-impressive!

Oh Jenny!!! Your garden is amazing and even more so to a Michigander like me who is still waiting for the grass to turn totally green (I've been known to exaggerate a bit)!

Thank you so much for the gift card! Do I access this online or? I'm afraid I wasn't paying attention in class on the day we discussed this! But, boy, am I thrilled to be the winner!

Wish I could come share dinner with you from your garden...LOOKS FANTASTIC!

HUGS,

What's a garden? Okay, I'm not really that bad, but it has been a long time since I have grown vegetables. Lot's of flowers here though, enjoying rainy weather in the 50's. I'm very impressed with the pic of you looking dainty with your hollyhocks and sunflowers. Next I want to see a pic of you biting into a jalepeno.

Thanks for popping in Jenny. I can't see a link anywhere on saturday Centus that leads to my blog though? I did link up in Alphabe Thursday-the link leads back to this post-did you fix it? It is number 26 Ugly Cookies.

Oh well, you never know what goes on these days with blogger!

Best wishes,
Natasha.

I would love to come eat with you! our little attempt at a garden is growing well, though I was outside at 1am covering it with plastic to save it from the monsoonal hail we were getting - and I locked myself out and had to run around the house to the garage in the monsoonal hail to let myself in...Oh well. I will live vicariously thru your bountiful garden!

OMG! I am so jealous of your bounty! My corn seemed to dry out this crop. Not sure why! Maybe I planted too much. Oh well, off to visit the farm stand at Val Vista and Germann!

Yay for the winners! Thanks for your visit and kindness. Your garden certainly is the "Garden of Eden" or should I say, the "Garden of Eatin"...amazing! I would love some of that harvest, we won't get much of that for a long time yet. The flowers are so very beautiful too! :D

Awesome garden! What a wonderful bounty! My friend was just in Arizona hoping to buy a house. Evidently it was a super 108 degree day so they came home deciding to stay in Colorado! I just giggled! The desert, Arizona! Duh!

But your garden bounty looks delicious. Wish I were close by! We are juicers so that would be a cool new juice to try (minus the hot peppers)LOL!

You are so darn sweet! I love it over here! Happy weekend friend! Anne

Dear Cousin,

When are you coming to visit me? I need an adult craft day. And to show off my lastest creative adventure. I know you will love it. Just as I envy your rippening garden, benefits of Arizona living I suspect.

Sincerely,
Your Cousin

Wow what a great garden you have. I am so jealous! I grew one last year but I didn't even yield a carrot. Well, I did yield a carrot but they were awful!

Love your garden. My deer would have a hay day with that. The racoons too. It would be eaten to the nub. I had a great garden when I lived in West Texas and I miss it. Nothing like fresh tomatoes picked from the garden.

Holly said...

I'm more than a little envious at all of that bounty!!
I picked some radishes today, but that's it so far. It's been raining so much here that everything is growing very slowly or not at all!
My strawberries are turning red, but no sun, so not sweet!!! This week should be better!!!
Thanks for sharing!

Wow - that looks like one of the old-timey adds for immigration to the new world - they always showed farmers with giant vegetables to woo the Old World immigrants. Good work!
