Wild Friday Nights...

...

Yup.

We're all about the wild times here at the Matlock house.

Friday afternoon it got down to a brisk 101 degrees and things got crazy.

Our youngest and middle Grandlittle came to visit after school and promptly said, "Wow, it's not too hot out! We should ride our bikes!"

Mr. Jenny dragged out the new (to them! I love garage sales!) Green Machine...and they were off!

Stuffed animals, a pogo stick and neighbor kids joined in the fun...

And our sweet Grandlittles enjoyed a gourmet meal of hardboiled eggs, turkey and peaches on their vehicles of choice...

And we were all exhausted.

Looks like fun for all! 101 degrees and no jackets? Isn't that considered cold for this time of year in Arizona?!

We had a pretty awesome Pogo stick that the kids (and my husband) used to love. A few weeks ago, one of my son's friends was jumping on it when a foot peg snapped off. Yowch! I guess it pays to inspect these things from time to time!

Adorable pics. That green machine looks like a blast. When I was a kid, I was the queen of the pogo jumping competitions in our neighborhood. I tried getting on a pogo stick again about three years ago. I forgot that I was much older, and much more incontinent. Oops.

i got a long-awaited pogo stick for my 7th birthday and never learned to jump on it. Somehow, the whole process was a lot more difficult than it had looked on TV.

The 'green machine' looks like quite a workout is involved in the use of it!

What kind of bike is that?? It reminds me of the big Wheel bikes that were around when I was very young. Looks like all had fun. Kids are so easy to feed. And I do love a cold kitchen!!~Ames

I think I have found my match for someone that enjoys their grandkids as much as me and my hubby. And how cute that they had their lunch "on the vehicle of their choice".

What a lot of fun.
I'm sure that some were more exhausted than others - the taller ones, perhaps?

Their rides, especially the green-machine, looks super cool! It looks like they all had a blast, and were ready for movies and popcorn maybe! What a great way to end the week!

What great fun they had - and haven't they got pretty hair? Even so, 101 degrees sounds pretty warm to me:-)

101 degrees is not too hot? Wow. I mean, I want orange trees in my back yard, but I don't know if I could really sacrifice the cool autumn weather for them. You are amazing, Jenny, for living there.

And how cute are those little girls?! And the bikes, and the lunches, and a pogo stick? I haven't been on one of those since I was a little kid! You really do know how to throw a mean party!

My boys have had more fun with 2 big wheels my Mom picked up (on the side of the road) than anything store bought!
