A tale of NO!!!!!

So...last night my husband and I were laying in bed and chatting a bit before we go to sleep like always.

And I started really, really looking at his skin.

And I very, very sweetly said to him "I think tomororw I am going to give you a facial."

After which followed a great and profound silence.

So I repeated myself. "Steve, tomorrow I think I am going to give you a facial."

The silence continued although I did get two very highly raised eyebrows (which could use a few random hairs plucked, by the way)

I found this very rude. And annoying. "What's your problem?" I said, much less sweetly.

To which he replied crankily, "No, you are not giving me a facial."

After which followed a great and profound silence.

He looked at me. I looked at him. I opened my mouth to speak...

"No" he said.

I opened my mouth to speak again...

"NO!" he said.

But being the epitomy of annoying persistence I decided that he still only meant maybe.

I started preparing my arguments and he looked deeply into my eyes and said...

"NO FACIAL. Not tomorrow. Not the next day. NO, NO, NO!"

I think he secretly wanted me to insist.

So what I'm thinking is I will wait until he is watching the football game or something and just bring out the facial stuff and he may not notice.

I'll have to wait on the plucking his eyebrows until he's sound asleep, though!

Hee hee! It's not like I'm trying to do this to him or anything. Sigh.

Good Morning Jenny...
Happy Sunday sweetie. Let me know how this works for you. I may need to work on my husband as well. After almost 35 years of marriage, I think maybe he could use a little facial himself.

Stop by soon and say hi. I so love the company.

Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

It is always a battle even to get my husband to use moisturizer. Even if he sheds like a lizard.

Oh Jen... I love the idea that 'no' might mean 'maybe'! Yeah... I don't think hubs would grab the idea either... we've offered to wax him! I can't repeat his answer to that one!

LOL! I actually have cut my husband's hair since we were first married! He doesn't have all that much anymore on top, but lately I've also been doing eyebrows. and ears, and nose trimmings..lol. Sounds gross doesn't it? As an RN I used to shave and cut the hair of many a male patient, so I'm pretty good at it, and it takes a lot to gross me out as I've seen it all.

Jenny how funny lol no no facial, men are such stinkers some times lol. This is something I would've asked my husband too. Just for fun to see if he would do it.

God bless you, can't wait for the mail ;0)

Hugs

Heidi

Oh my WORD Jenny-you made me and my husband laugh so hard. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. My husband said that is his new nick name for me--The Epitomy of Annoying Persistance.

I used to pluck my Dad's eyebrows - against his will, of course - but I hated the "antennae" that would grow. Drove me nuts.

Just tell him how wonderful it will feel....How wonderful he'll feel afterwards....He'll be asking you to do it. haha

Once you do it, he'll want one every week. Then, maybe a manicure and pedicure. Steve will be soooooo pretty!

I got Bob to do a facial and he loved it. He liked having someone rub his face! Maybe you should call it a facial massage.

Hi there. My son tolerates me giving him a facial from time to time. Maybe your husband thinks you're going to plaster him with makeup :o) Tricky one.

Take care.
