R is for Really Random Really's!

Linking up to Alphabe-Thursday for the letter "R" I have three things today...

Some Really gorgeous flowers I picked from my garden yesterday...
...
A Really cute Granddaughter on her last day of pre-school...
...
And a really busy garage sale today...so busy, in fact, we needed a security guard...OK, OK, technically that's my Dad but we gave him grief over this all day...We also called him a Wal-Mart greeter but he wasn't too enamored of that title...

...grand total of sales today was a little over $400 AND the nicest people came by AND my neighbor had some stuff to sell and I found a little desk for our oldest granddaughter for twenty bucks AND I sold the fancy Starbucks coffee maker for $85.00 in the first hour of the sale! Woo hoo!

I hope you enjoyed this Really Random R post of "Really's"!

The flowers are REALLY gorgeous. The granddaughter is REALLY adorable! And that sounds like a REALLY fabulously successful garage sale!

The flowers are great, but the little pre-school graduate looking rarin' to go takes the cake. What a cutie-patootie.
What a haul you took in with your sale. It looks like you had it very well organized. Your kids should be really happy.

Those flowers are beautiful!

I had a fancy espresso machine just sitting there, collecting dust and I finally decided to part with it, so I checked to make sure it still worked. I could not get any steam to come out of the frothing wand. Bummer! Maybe I didn't clean it out well enough. :(

That thing had gotten a lot of use, when I was single, but then I found a great local place that made better espresso than I.

Thanks for your comment yesterday. None of the eye doctors have ever mentioned that to me about the flattening, so I don't think that is an issue. At least I hope not. :) That sounds pretty bad what you have been through. Did they have to do surgery?

The black spots are fading, so this is a good sign. I hope my eyes hold off doing anything else for awhile. My mom had quite a time with recovery having to keep her head faced down for so many hours in a day.

If your garage sale is going again tomorrow, I hope it is just as successful as today. :D

I hope you really, really rock it and reap the rewards of real re-purposing regarding the remnants of what remains to be released in your house purge. Had to get a "p" in there somewhere just to throw it a little. ;-)

You got a lot of money at the garage sale. Was that Starbucks machine the one that Mr. Jenny said you should charge more for, if it was, looks like he was right LOL. Cute picture of your granddaughter. I love the flowers from your yard. I guess you can pretty much have flowers all year, huh? They are just beautiful. I'm jealous.

Beautiful flowers and the prettiest little flower is your granddaughter! Aren't grandkids the best thing ever?

Glad you did good on your garage sale, I live so far out no one would ever come to my house for one, or I'd try it myself.

Beautiful flowers. I really needed a smile tonight. Thank you. ;)

pretty flowers. i hope they cheered you up a little.

eighty-five bucks for a coffee maker? CRAZY. good thing i don't drink coffee.

Pondside said...

Way to go with the garage sale! I'd love to have one, but no one would ever drive our here to a sale. I'd like to talk a friend into having one in a regular neighbourhood, and then I could piggy back on it - so much junk and no garage sale opportunity!

Sarah said...

Sorry I'm a bit late. I've been checking out your garage sale to see what I might take home. :-)
Glad it was a success!

Jo said...

now that was really random! glad you had success with your garage sale! I'm having one in June ... i love having and going to them! and your flowers ... gorgeous ... i'm so envious!!!

Amanda Lee said...

Oh, you're a better woman than me! As much as I love to go to garage sales, I hate to have them. Instead, I just load it up and have a kid take it down to the Goodwill! $400 sound pretty tempting, though....

Hi Jenny
Finally found those proverbial 5 minutes to continue visiting the "R's". Your garage sale made me sigh! The closest we have in France is a vide grenier which may well be the topic of my "V" post in a few weeks time.
Have a great weekend.

Well I think Dad looks like a security guard... a "Now Retired" one, HAHAHA! I crack myself up!
And you sold my Coffee Maker? Well, at least now you have enough $$$ to take me to lunch.=)

I am really happy that your garage sale went really well! Perhaps you would like to come to Colorado and hold a really great one in my garage? Will you bring me some of those Really pretty flowers when you come? And drag along that grandaughter because I have another really cute preschooler whose last day of school is Friday and she would really have fun with your really adorable grandaughter!

I hope you have a really great weekend because I know I plan to - we are in Beaver Creek and I really like it up here!

I know your first love is to work with words.

But that first photo is a work of art! It could be painted, and fit in with the old masters.

Really Dear, I hope you find time to work more on your photography skills. That first picture takes my breath away.

Hooray for the successful yard sale!

I can't believe all those flowers are from your garden. They are beautiful.

Your garage sale was a success so far..

Aside from a few roses we have no flowers in bloom in our garden, yours appears to be amazingly bountiful and the pictures are wonderful. I wish I had such a lovely garden. Speaking of beauty, your granddaughter is also so. In England no one has garage sales and I have always thought them such a strange thing but am rethinking that view now I know how successful yours has been!

Have a wonderful weekend

Jamie said...

I am such a sucker for garden blooms, they wins hands down over store bought posies, in my opinion. And yours are beyond beautiful! Cute grand-daughter! And, congratulations on how wonderfully the sale is going. That's always good news!

It looks like I would have been in heaven in your garage. Such fun things! Really, why are you getting rid of it all? Oh, so you can get even more fun things at other people's garage sales, right? :) That is what keeps our economy going. Garage sales. At least in the summer months.
