Alphabe-Thursday "Z"

Good morning class! I'm not sure how this happened but we are now on the letter: You will probably think I'm silly but I've been feeling a little emotional about this.

When I started this meme I had no idea I would get so attached to all of you. I never imagined how much I would enjoy the creative visits each Thursday.

And now as it draws to an end it makes my heart a little sad.

I know we are continuing with our Summer Color School but, still, it is an ending.

Next week I am going to do one final Alphabe-Thursday link-up for this first round. It will be a week where you can post any of your old posts or maybe a post that you finished too late to link up! Perhaps one of your posts didn't get read as much as you had hoped, or maybe you want to re-write a letter. So next week, will be Alphabe-Thursday Soup week so you can plan for it!

Now. Please, please try to visit as many blogs as you can each week. We'll just stick with our normal method of trying to distribute comments more evenly.

So that we can distribute comments a bit more evenly, if your first name starts with the letters A - L please start reading the odd posts first starting with link number 1.

If your first name starts with the letters M - Z please start reading the even posts first starting with link number 2.

I also want to let you know that each week I visit every blog. I noticed a blog today where my comment didn't show up. If it appears I haven't visited your blog by Sunday night, please let me know, because it is important to me to make sure you know I've visited you!

If you have any difficulties with your link please make sure to include the number of the link when you e-mail me. It is really difficult for me to find them otherwise.

If you have any questions about Alphabe-Thursday or problems doing your link just post it in a comment or send me an e-mail. I'll do my best to help you.

The McLinkey will be live from 6:00 pm MST time Wednesday night through 8:00 am MST time Friday morning!

And remember.... link back to this post, you need to be registered as a follower of my blog (since there are prizes involved and it makes my life easier that way), PG posts only, and try to visit all the other students according to the letter of your first name! The links will stay live after the final post deadline has passed so you can even wait and visit over the weekend or whenever you have more time.

Class is dismissed. Please feel free to zip over and link your post now!

Jenny Jenny - we found each other somewhere around week O. O -Z has been a wonderful ride. I try to visit each blog each week and almost always make it through them! I have met so many wonderful people through this (you of course are number 1 on the list) and I can't wait to start from A and go all the way to Z - the Color School will be fun too...and I will have to give some thought to Soup Week...I think I might try to pick my favorite? I don't know - but I do know you are amazing and I am so blessed to have you in my life.

Dear Ms. Matlock,

You have been a terrific teacher! I have enjoyed participating in the Alphabe-Thursday class and I too am feeling a bit sad that it has come to an end. But as the old addage goes, "all good things must come to an end". And, that fits the meme pretty well.

I have met many wonderful bloggers and have learned so many things that I honestly did not know. It is amazing at what some people have on their minds or in their hearts or even in their homes that they can't wait to share with others. Each alphabet was truly a learning experience. I hope that others feel that some of my posts did the same for them, as well.

If it were possible, I would gift you with a box of chocolate covered cherries--the gift that I gave to each of my school teachers at the end of each year--but since I can't, you'll have to accept them by faith--LOL.

Thanks for giving up what I know to be precious time to host this meme. God Bless

You either posted this earlier than usual or my clock's wrong - either way, I'm find with it.

It is kind of sad that alphabe-thursday (I kept spelling this wrong every single time I try it!) -- is ending but it is also a relief for me. Now and then, I thought I couldn't make a post because I couldn't find the idea or the word to use but I always do. It is both strange and both endearing and sometimes a bit crazy and overwhelming - what's with at least 80 or more blogs to visit - sometimes I had the time to visit them all and sometimes only a few.

I like (and even love) doing this but the in between time to post is just too short. At least for me. I do enjoy every post that I posted and every post that read. I even find new blogs to regularly visit. So Jenny - thanks for creating Alphabe-Thursday.

Jenny, this has been a bright spot in my week. I started at G and ended at Z! Thanks for hosting such a fun blog party! At times, being food blogger, some of the letters were a real stretch! Thanks! Joni

Dear Jenny,
Please don't be sad. if you feel up to continuing this wonderful meme, I think you will find that many of us with continue with you.
Abc-Wednesday is planning on charging right into a new round, round seven, starting with 'A' next week. So I can't just attach two labels on the same post anymore. I may have to choose. Or I may just let my cat, Sara, do one of the memes. She has already made a hit with the Norwegians and their version of abc-Wednesday: 'Ord og Bilder'.
I've said this before and will say it again. You are such an amazing teacher! You have helped us make the best of this theme. You have truly a gift for bringing out the good, the best, in others, in us!
With gratitude and admiration,
Anna

i just want you to know that this group of alphabe-Thursday folks has been so important in my life right now. I'll try not to whine, but being chronically ill and depressed makes ordinary task insurmountable. Having a goal of writing for this group has made a huge difference. And your encouragement has meant so much to me. THANKS. Can't wait for the rainbow, and then starting again. But egads...the soup. What to choose...

Oh! Ms Matlock! I hope you overlook my "uber-long" assignment this week! I really could not postpone my thank you post any longer!

I do have a "Happy-ness" award (aka Blgo Hug) to pass along to you...even if you do not do awards...just know that I really want you know how happy you make me and the rest of the blog world!

Blessings & Aloha!

Thanks for the memories. I hope this isn't the end, because I've only done P-Z, and that's not even half.
You're so fantastic, friendly, positive, energetic, and AWESOME.
Thanks.

Jenny all these comments and the others that will follow me a testament to the kind of person you are. I have only met one of the people who is part of this but feel that I have gained friends along this journey. As I have said to you this has been a sad crazy few months but the last weeks ( from D ) have been brilliant and I have loved prepping for the Thursday slot. I am already on task for the colours.
Anyway Thank you and as they said on Prisoner Be seeing you

I have to agree with everyone else that AlphabeThursday has been nothin' but fun. I found you through Jen at Denton Sanitorium and hopped on for the ride. (I have not been sorry!)

Somewhere along the line, I've become a diehard fan of J. Matlock, teacher extraordinaire...

Indeed, it is rather sad that we have reached the end of the alphabet, but you know what they say about good things. Thanks for having me and I can't wait to join in with your rainbow meme.

Best wishes,
Natasha.

Now I am really confused. Aren't we going to start up again after the rainbow?? If not, then I am really, really, really sad.
Please Jenny, let's do it again!?
Well, if you can't, you can't. But I really like you and your way of running this meme.
Now I really am sad.

Hi Jenny,

As a French teacher I get my students to keep an alphabet book to write new words and make sentences with them. We go through the A to Z and then we move on to double consonants. Words with double p"s or t's for example. There is still a lot of formulas to exploit. There is no end to this. Actually it's even more fun as it gets more difficult or strange. There is the combo letters as in "ae", etc. If you need ideas I can help you. I do this for a living LOL. Take care.
